Annual house price growth in the South East continues to outpace London for the fourth month in row, according to fresh figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Last month, the UK house price index revealed that average house values across the UK grew by 6.7 per cent to £218,000 in the past 12 months – while prices specifically in the South East – all the way from Berkshire to the Isle of Wight – are up by 8.6%, hitting an average of £313,000. With a shortage of housing stock, the competition between buyers is tough, but thankfully several house builders are currently busy creating new homes that will go a small way to meeting the huge demand.
