Retirement property for sale in Devon

Devon has the benefit of a north and south coast, each with its own identity, and some Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty including Exmoor and Dartmoor. New homes are popular with both local residents and those relocating from further afield. Many retirees seek early retirement in the county choosing a lock up and leave property giving them the freedom to travel.

New property is being built across the county and includes a range of properties types in Plymouth, Exeter, Dawlish, Okehampton, Bideford, Barnstaple and Paignton. Properties vary from traditional family homes and cottage-style properties to contemporary apartments. Families looking at new homes for sale in Devon can expect to find prices in some of the most sought-after areas more expensive than many other parts of the UK.

Motorway access is limited to the M5 terminating at Exeter but there is a range of good A-roads heading on through the county to the north and south coasts and on to Cornwall. Trains run regularly to Devon and beyond via Exeter and Plymouth from London.
