East Anglia new homes round-up – the best new builds for sale now

Posted 28 June 2016 by Rebecca Burns

The WhatHouse? team takes a look at the current new homes market in the East of England and picks its favourite developments...

East Anglia is home to fenland, marshland, rolling hills, popular coastal resorts, and major urban areas such as Norwich, Cambridge, Peterborough and Ipswich. Many parts of the region are within easy reach of London, pushing up property prices in those areas.

The Cambridge area is also relatively expensive, as are towns and villages within commuting distance of the popular university city – but elsewhere, in more remote parts of the region, you can get a lot more for your money.

Here we have brought together a collection of current and forthcoming developments across East Anglia, from a variety of housebuilders, to suit a range of buying budgets.

Cavendish Grove in Trimley St Martin, Suffolk (Taylor Wimpey)

Cavendish GroveTaylor Wimpey has now opened its brand new show home at their Cavendish Grove development in the popular village of Trimley St Martin, less than four miles from Felixstowe. Incorporating a collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, the development has a good range of amenities and lovely East Anglian countryside close by.

The village is in an ideal location, lying between two rivers, the Orwell and the Deben, and within easy striking distance of the lively seaside town of Felixstowe. There are schools nearby, and the surrounding area offers a good choice of family attractions to suit all ages and interests.

The village also boasts excellent road links to the A14 for those who need to commute further afield, and there are regular bus services running through Trimley St Martin for those who wish to use public transport. Trimley station is half-a-mile away; Felixstowe station is about three miles away; and Ipswich railway station is less than 10 miles away for services to London and Norwich.
