South East new homes round-up - the latest new homes for sale

Posted 16 August 2017 by Rebecca Burns

The WhatHouse? team selects the latest new build homes for sale in counties across the South East of England...

In the South East, nearly all home movers now face paying stamp duty, with the data showing this figure has now hit 99%.

Other southern regions are experiencing a similar situation, with 100% of buyers in London having to pay the tax, and 97% in the South West and East Anglia. By comparison, only 72% of home movers in the North and 78% in Wales are confronted with stamp duty. The average overall bill for this in the South East is £20,133, compared with the lowest bills in the North at £4,212 and Wales at £4,489.

Facing these kind of expenses, many buyers in pricier regions of the South East will be looking for purchase assistance schemes to help them secure their dream home. A lot of housing developments offer the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, and many also have their own additional schemes available on selected plots.

The selection of brand new developments below includes some sites that offer purchase assistance schemes, alongside others that have a higher price tag aimed at buyers with a more generous budget.
