South East New Homes Round-up - The Latest New Homes For Sale

Posted 28 November 2017 by Rebecca Burns

The WhatHouse? team selects the latest new build homes for sale in counties across the South East of England...

The South East's housing market has stalled, according to media reports - with some estate agents saying they have registered far fewer buyers this autumn compared with last year – and especially those who are keen to move before Christmas.

Of those who are still eager to get their foot on the property ladder, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) says a larger proportion is now focusing on the section of the housing market supported by the Government-backed Help to Buy initiative.

With this in mind, many of the options covered below in our latest round-up of new developments in the South East offer Help to Buy options. Purchase assistance schemes such as this can help buyers who are struggling to save up a large enough deposit for their ideal home.

Ebbsfleet Plaza in Ebbsfleet, Kent (Redrow Homes)

Two-bedroom apartments have now been released by Redrow at this large development in Ebbsfleet, which will ultimately offer 950 new homes as part of the first "garden city" to be created in 100 years. The apartments promise stylish interiors with modern, fully-fitted kitchens, Smeg appliances and en-suite bathrooms.

A pub, a hotel, a primary school and shops are all planned within walking distance of the development, which will also eventually have primary and secondary schools and a dedicated medical centre.

Professionals will be able to reach London St Pancras in just 17 minutes and Stratford International in 12 minutes from nearby Ebbsfleet International. The A2 road is nearby, and the M25 and the Dartford Crossing just minutes away. London is about 20 miles away, Maidstone 17 miles, Rochester nine miles, Dartford five miles and Gravesend three miles. For leisure time, the popular seaside town of Whitstable is less than an hour away by high speed train.

Prices: From £269,995.
