Homebuyers looking to buy a new home in Birmingham may wish to check out Persimmon Homes' recently opened Butlers Court at The Maltings development, located three miles from the hustle and bustle of Birmingham city centre.

The housebuilder is currently building 30 new apartments at the development, with prices starting from £99,950, thanks to to the Help to Buy scheme, which allows house hunters to own 100% of their home for just 80% of the price.

Homebuyers opting to buy a new home using Help to Buy will find that they could potentially secure an equity loan from the government which is interest free for the first five years, equating to 20% of the property's value. A mortgage is then secured on the remaining 75% meaning lower mortgage repayments.

Located off Barratt Street, Cape Hill, the development offers house hunters a selection of thoughtfully designed apartment in five distinct styles, many with their own balcony.

Persimmon Homes South Midland's sales director, Alison Reading, said: "There has never been a better time to buy with the new Government Help to Buy scheme and so far we have experienced a great deal of interest in these properties."

He added: "In September we will be launching a show apartment at the development and I would urge house hunters interested in a stylish home, in a well-established area, to come along and see for themselves what is available."
