New Releases At Housebuilder’s East Anglian Sites

Barratt Developments has just released a great range of brand new homes at some of its schemes across the East of England...

Barratt Developments – the former holder of the prestigious title of WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year in 2019 which sells homes under the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands – has released a host of new homes at some of its current sites across the East of England, catering for a range of buyer requirements and budgets.

We take a look at some of these latest new homes to come to the market in the region, and mention some of the special offers available on other selected plots which could save the buyer thousands of pounds (for a limited time and subject to terms and conditions).

Releases of brand new homes in Bedfordshire

Wixams is a major growing community taking shape just outside Bedford, situated alongside a lake and bordered by some attractive countryside. Willow Grove is a development currently offering two-, three- and four-bedroom homes from £289,995 to £574,995. It’s selling fast, with buyers attracted by the house types and some great offers and upgrades on some of the plots here. Newly released is coach house type called the ‘Stevenson’, priced from £289,995 and located in a quiet cul de sac. Set about three car ports, this single-storey home has two generous double bedrooms, living/dining room, separate kitchen, and a bathroom. There are a couple of examples of the ‘Archford’ now for sale too, with prices starting at £369,995. Releases of brand new homes in Cambridgeshire

To the north of Cambridge is Barratt’s Franklin Gardens, which has a real variety of two- to five-bedroom homes with contemporary architecture and high specification, priced from £575,995 to £850,995, with deals worth up to £32,000 on some of the new homes for sale here. The new releases include the four-bedroom ‘Thornton’ from £694,995. Both the kitchen/dining room and the lounge are dual aspect, the latter having French doors to the garden. Three of the four bedrooms are doubles, one having en suite shower room. There are two private parking spaces outside. For a larger budget, from £850,995, an alternative new release is the substantial double-fronted five-bedroom ‘Malvern V2’. The kitchen with utility room, and two reception rooms, are on the ground floor, three bedrooms (one en suite) and a bathroom on the first floor and two more bedrooms and a shower room on the top floor. Releases of brand new homes in Essex

Mortimer Place is a development in Hatfield Peverel, near the city of Chelmsford. Over 75% of the two-, three- and four-bedroom homes being built here are already sold. The new release is called the ‘Hadley’, which is a three-bedroom detached home overlooking open space and priced from £482,995. The kitchen/dining/family room leads to the southeast-facing garden, and there’s a utility room and separate dual-aspect lounge. Bedroom one comes with an en suite shower room. Great Dunmow Grange DWH is located on the edge of the market town between Braintree and Stansted Airport. There are some big offers on some of the homes here, worth up to £38,000. Prices range from £425,000 to £825,000. The latest release is the ‘Holden’ at £674,000, a well-liked detached house type that comes with single garage and private driveway. The kitchen/dining/family room has a feature glazed bay with French doors to the garden, there are separate lounge and study, and all four bedrooms are double, with bedroom one having an en suite. Releases of brand new homes in Suffolk

Abbots Green in Woolpit is now 90% sold but there have been a handful of new releases as part of the array of two, three-, four- and five-bedroom houses that are still to be snapped up, with prices between £280,000 and £699,995. Among them, the ‘Hadley’ is a three-bedroom double-fronted detached home from £399,995 with dual-aspect lounge, a kitchen/dining room, utility room, en suite to bedroom one and a bathroom for the other two bedrooms to share. It has two private parking spaces. The largest new release is the ‘Manning’, a very five-bedroom home from £699,995 which has an impressive 1,972 sq ft of living space. Releases of brand new homes in Norfolk

There have been a host of new releases at Cringleford Heights, to the west of Norwich, with 10 acres of open space over the development, which is within the catchment area of a primary school rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. David Wilson Homes has a host of four-bedroom detached house types for sale here, one of them just come on the market. Plot 4 is the ‘Drummond’, priced from £489,995. It’s a detached home with four double bedrooms, an integral single garage and a private driveway. The front lounge has a bay window, the kitchen/dining/family room has French doors to the turfed garden. The largest bedroom has an en suite. Barratt Homes is also building at Cringleford Heights, with the current three- and four-bedroom houses having starting prices from £332,995 to £371,995. Some plots are available through Barratt’s own Movemaker and Key Worker Deposit Contribution schemes. Just released is a popular three-storey house type, the ‘Kingsville’, from £371,995. Downstairs, there’s a kitchen off the lounge/dining room, a cloakroom and what could be a fourth bedroom or a home office. There’s another reception room on the first floor, along with an en suite double bedroom. The two bedrooms on the top floor share the family bathroom. This house comes with three parking spaces. The market town of Watton is halfway between Norwich and Downham Market, around 40 minutes’ drive from each. It’s where Barratt Homes is offering three- and four-bedroom houses at Waylands Fields, priced from £269,995 to £359,995, some of which come with deals worth over £13,000. There are several new releases here, including two examples of the ‘Hoy’ semi-detached house type, each with fully turfed garden and a driveway for two cars. The lounge at the front leads to the kitchen/diner at the rear. There are two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a bathroom upstairs, with en suite to bedroom one. A larger new release is the ’Adlington’ on Plot 146, a detached home with four comfortable bedrooms, one of which has en suite shower room. There’s some really flexible living space downstairs. The kitchen/family room and the lounge both have French doors to the garden and there’s a separate dining room that could alternatively be used for another purpose, such as study.
