The UK housing market entered a lull following the Brexit vote – but many surveyors now believe it could take off again over the next 12 months.
Research by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) showed that house price rises slowed significantly in the three months to the end of July. Surveyors said that new buyer inquiries, home sales and new instructions all fell over that period – yet a separate survey has indicated renewed confidence.
Just a month ago, not long after the EU referendum result shook the nation, surveyors were evenly split over whether prices would rise or fall over the next 12 months. Now, however – by a majority of 23% – most predict that prices will inflate again.
So, while good mortgage rates are still available, yet with the prospect of a more buoyant housing market going forward, now could prove to be a good time to buy for many aspiring home owners. Here is our latest round-up of brand new developments distributed across the West Midlands for buyers in that region.
