While the New Year marks a fresh property search for many prospective house buyers across the country, those in the East Midlands could face prohibitively high prices in many parts.
According to a report by The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) at the end of 2015, property prices are rising faster in the East Midlands than in London.
Despite the shortage of property coming to the market, which has pushed up prices, there are some superb brand new developments to be found right across the region – for buyers who move quickly enough. And with the government-backed Help to Buy and other purchase assistance schemes and incentives, there are affordable options out there for those on tighter budgets.
We have put together a geographical spread of current developments available in the East Midlands, including properties that would suit first time buyers, families, downsizers, and commuters who need to travel to some of the region's major towns and cities.
