Offering superb transport connections by road and rail, the East Midlands is a fast-growing economic hub where there is a high demand for housing. Many towns and cities in the region have great potential for buy-to-let investors, as well as plenty to offer those who are looking to settle down in the region.
A recent survey by national agent Jackson-Stops & Staff showed Northampton a close second in a UK-wide analysis of places where properties get most sharply snapped up. Some 66.7% of the town’s listed properties were under offer, only just behind Bristol at 67% but well ahead of the national average of 52.7%, making Northampton a leading hotspot.
Despite a widely-reported shortage of properties coming to market, and relatively tough competition between buyers, there are some interesting new developments to look at across the region. Many of these offer purchase assistance schemes to help buyers secure their new home.
Here we have selected a handful of those currently available or coming soon, in cities, towns and villages across the East Midlands.
