Buyer Assistance Scheme Introduced On New Homes In South Wales

Posted 22 December 2023 by Keith Osborne

Lovell is offering selected plots at Locke Gardens through its Helping Hands scheme for existing homeowners...

Lovell Homes is encouraging Newport property-seekers to enquire about the homes at its sought-after Locke Gardens development, where buyers are now able to take advantage of its Helping Hands scheme.

Locke Gardens is located on the site of the former Llanwern steelworks, off Baldwin Drive, and is comprised of a collection of 285 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.

The Helping Hands scheme is available on selected plots at the development and is designed to make the process of purchasing a brand-new Lovell home easier for those who already own a property. Subject to availability, Lovell Homes’ sales team will arrange an independent evaluation of the existing property. Once a price has been determined they will assist with the marketing of the property, allowing the buyer to reserve their new home once a sale has been agreed on the existing home. Lovell is on hand throughout the process to offer advice and answer questions, and will not charge any estate agent fees. Terms and conditions apply.

Locke GardensOne of the homes now available to purchase using the Helping Hands scheme is the ‘Richmond’. This four-bedroom family home is priced from £409,995 and is the largest option on the development. The home opens into a hallway, to one side of which is a spacious dining room, and to the other is a dedicated study and attached storage cupboard. A living room and separate kitchen sit at the rear of the house and both feature French doors leading to the rear garden, creating perfect spaces for entertaining. The downstairs is completed with a utility room and convenient cloakroom. Upstairs are four bedrooms, one of which features a private en suite and two that share a Jack-and-Jill en suite, and a modern family bathroom.

Suzie Hewitt, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: “We are excited to be offering our Helping Hands scheme at Locke Gardens. We understand that the difficulty of selling an existing property can get in the way of securing the perfect new home, so we created this scheme to make that process much easier for our buyers. Locke Gardens is a high-quality development that receives a lot of interest, so we would highly encourage anyone who is looking for a home in the area to get in touch to avoid missing out on a great home.”

Locke Gardens is being delivered by Lovell in partnership with Pobl. The development will consist of 500 properties, including 285 open market sale homes, 80 affordable homes and 135 Shared Ownership properties. The development is part of Glan Llyn – a residential-led development being delivered by St Modwen. The £1billion regeneration project is transforming the 600-acre brownfield site and creating a major new vibrant community for South Wales, with a total of 4,000 new homes being delivered alongside community infrastructure and green, open space.
