Successful Show Home Launch Event In Newport

Posted 30 November 2022 by Keith Osborne

Lovell has officially opened the doors to three- and four-bedroom show houses at Locke Gardens, part of Glan Llyn in Newport...

Homes has reported that it has successfully launched its two brand new show homes at its Locke Gardens development in Newport, South Wales.

Locke Gardens is taking shape on the site of the former Llanwern Steelworks and will consist of a range of 285 two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes, suitable for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers alike.

On launch day, local property seekers toured the new three-bedroom ‘Lansdown’ and four-bedroom ‘Roseberry’ – both professionally fitted and decorated by interior designers – as well as a marketing suite with an Inspirations room upstairs, where buyers can take a look at the wide variety of kitchen finishes, flooring, tiling and more that Lovell has on offer.

Homebuyers can now book an appointment to meet with the sales team seven days of the week, visit Locke Gardens to look around the show houses, and find out more about the range of properties that are available to purchase.

Julie Bowen, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: “We loved hosting this event at Locke Gardens for local homebuyers to enjoy, and are delighted to have opened the doors to our two wonderful show homes.

Locke Gardens“Our ‘Lansdowne’ style home is perfect for growing families, and as part of our Inspirations range features a brilliant garden pod, which can be used as an office for home workers or a relaxing yoga studio. Our show home is designed using cool blues and greys, and features a lovely wildlife-themed children's bedroom with a recurring llama motif. For those seeking more space is the ‘Roseberry’, which has been decorated much warmer in a gold and teal colour scheme.

“The homes at Locke Gardens are in incredibly high demand, so we would encourage anyone who is interested in making the move to Locke Gardens to get in touch without delay to avoid missing out on a fantastic home, including a small selection of homes ready for a Christmas and New Year move.”

Locke Gardens is four-and-a-half miles away from the city centre of Newport, offering all the perks of city living, whilst only being a short drive from the Welsh countryside. Residents will be able to benefit from an abundance of supermarkets, pubs, cafés, shops, cinemas and theatres, primary and secondary schools, a medical centre and Royal Gwent Hospital, as well as the Friars Walk Shopping Centre.

Newport railway station is only a 13-minute drive away, and Cardiff and Chepstow can be reached in about half-an-hour. Bristol is just 40 miles away, offering an easy commute with excellent road, rail and bus transport links.

Locke Gardens is being delivered by Lovell in partnership with Pobl. The development will consist of 500 properties, including 285 open market sale homes, 80 affordable homes and 135 Shared Ownership properties. Locke Gardens is part of Glan Llyn – a residential-led development being delivered by St Modwen. The £1billion regeneration project is transforming the 600-acre brownfield site and creating a major new vibrant community for South Wales, with a total of 4,000 new homes being delivered alongside community infrastructure and green, open space.

Locke Gardens is now open seven days a week, between 10.00am and 5.00pm. Find out more from Lovell Homes.
