New Show Home Opens At Dalkeith Development
Posted 24 November 2023 by
Keith OsborneDandara East Scotland has launched a new show home at Eskbank Gardens in Eskbank, near Dalkeith in Midlothian.
The housebuilder is currently constructing a new collection of 64 two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, following the success of the earlier phases of the development in the town, situated just over ten miles from Edinburgh.
Buyers can now visit and take a tour of the new five-bedroom ‘Canna’ show home, which features a neutral interior, with hints of woodland browns and gold accents.
Tony Williamson, sales director at Dandara East Scotland, said: “This new phase on the south side of the development will bring much needed new private and affordable homes to Eskbank, helping first-time buyers and established families find their ideal property. The show home gives prospective buyers a taste of what they can expect living at Eskbank, and I am sure visitors will be as impressed as we are – the designers have done a wonderful job!
First to be released is the three-bedroom ‘Jura V1’, a double-fronted, semi-detached house boasting a large open-plan kitchen/dining room and utility priced at £319,995. This home is currently available with LBTT paid and Dandara’s Moving Made Easy scheme. Through Moving Made Easy, Dandara can help arrange to sell buyers’ existing properties and pay estate agents fees as well. Unlike many similar schemes – buyers don’t have to be moving to a larger property, Dandara will also assist downsizers and side-steppers too.
Further properties to be released soon include the four-bedroom ‘Canna V1’ and the ‘Rum’.
The two-bedroom ‘Lewis’ at Eskbank Gardens
Also available at the development are a selection of properties available to buy using the Golden Share scheme offered by Midlothian Council. The scheme allows local people to purchase a home at 80% of the Open Market Value, subject to criteria. The two-bedroom ‘Lewis’ at £192,000 (Golden Share Price) and three bedroom ‘Mull’ at £224,000 (Golden Share Price) are currently available.
With Dalkeith centre just under two miles away, buyers will benefit from handy local amenities, high street shops, restaurants, and the green open space of King’s Park and Dalkeith Country Park.
“It’s no surprise that Eskbank Gardens has been so popular with buyers as not only is it a short commute to Edinburgh, but there is so much to do locally. Dalkeith Country Park nearby has a wealth of entertainment for visitors all year round, with lots of festive activities on offer including Kids Christmas Workshops, Santa’s Grotto and a 1km Elf Dash to name just a few. This new phase will enable buyers who missed out on previous releases to secure their dream home at the award-winning development.”
Eskbank railway station is just under a mile away from Eskbank Gardens and offers direct services to Edinburgh Waverley in as little as 20 minutes, while Tweedbank is just 38 minutes by train. For travel by road, the nearby Edinburgh City Bypass allows for journeys via the A1, A7 and A68 for travel further afield.
