Just Three ‘Golden Share’ Homes Available At South Queenferry Site

Posted 8 June 2023 by Keith Osborne

There's still a chance to use a scheme to get a brand new home at Hawthorn Gardens for 80% of open market price...

There are just three Golden Share homes remaining for sale within the current phase of Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s Hawthorn Gardens development in South Queensferry, so house-hunters who qualify for this helpful Edinburgh Council low-cost homeownership scheme need to act quickly to snap up their next move.

With a choice of three- and four-bedroom homes that are ready to move into buyers can opt for the style that best suits their lifestyle and budget. Each property has flooring provided and can be viewed in person. Prices start from just £230,000, and interested buyers are encouraged to pop along to the development to find out more.

Edinburgh Council’s Golden Share scheme allows buyers to purchase a new home at less than the Open Market Value (OMV) – they will own 100% of the home but pay 80%. Taylor Wimpey’s experienced sales executives can provide more information about the scheme including details of how to qualify, and the process of buying a new home.

Kirsty McGill, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, commented: “Our remaining three Golden Share properties within the current phase at Hawthorn Gardens are the last chance for buyers to take advantage of the Golden Share low-cost homeownership scheme until later phases of this development. This is a great opportunity for house-hunters who qualify for the scheme to take a step up, on or down the property ladder depending on their circumstances.

“These homes are available to move into now, and I would encourage buyers considering a new home in South Queensferry to pop along to the development to see for themselves all of the extras that are included.”

Situated at South Scotstoun, Hawthorn Gardens also offers an excellent choice of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes from Taylor Wimpey’s Scottish and Caledonian house type ranges. Find out more about Hawthorn Gardens.
