It’s another busy week in the new homes sector, with plenty of things for lovers of new build to be involved in, including launches, special events and offers across the country…

 

Shared Ownership homes come to East London development

Network Homes has unveiled a collection of six Shared Ownership apartments at Copenhagen Place, its development in Limehouse in east London.

Set within an attractive courtyard, each of these homes has its own balcony and has been designed and built to a high specification, with fitted kitchens, stylish bathroom and luxurious finishes. Prices start from £160,000 for a 40% share of a one-bed apartments (full market price £400,000), with priority will be given to people who live or work in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Launch of new homes in Northamptonshire this weekend

New show homes opens at Stirling development

A much-anticipated three-bedroom show home has just been unveiled at Royal Park View, a development in Stirling from Cruden Homes.

The ‘Moray’, styled by interior design specialists blocc interiors, has a generous lounge, cloakroom and a kitchen/dining area with direct access to the rear garden. There’s also a downstairs w/c as well as plenty of storage. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The housetype is available as an end-of-terrace or semi-detached version.

First phase of affordable homes in Barking released

Weavers Quarter​Anyone who lives or works somewhere in London and Essex will be given priority to purchase the new homes released at Weavers Quarter in Barking, under half-a-mile from the station and including a range of homes available with the government-supported Shared Ownership scheme.

Developer L&Q has put 221 homes on the market, the first of 1,575 new homes that will be available on the site of the former Gascoigne Estate. The first phase offers 50 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes, with prices for a one-bedroom apartment starting at £71,250 for a 30% share (full market value of £237,500). 

Tony Harker, sales and customer service director for L&Q’s East Region, says: “Barking and Dagenham is the London borough with the most Shared Ownership homes currently under construction, and we are pleased to be able to offer high-quality affordable homes in this borough.” Pat Hayes, managing director of Be First, Barking and Dagenham Council’s regeneration company, which is working with L&Q on this major development, adds: “These Shared Ownership homes offer terrific value. They are the first of the tens of thousands of new, high-quality, affordable homes Be First will be helping to deliver in the borough.”

The new development will complement the new homes with two schools, new public open space and a new community centre.

Smooth Move offered at Buckinghamshire development

Martin Grant Homes is offering homebuyers access to its Smooth Move scheme at Bewick Green, the company’s development in Wing, Buckinghamshire.

The scheme means the Martin Grant Homes will oversee the sale of the buyer’s existing property, speeding up the process and helping to make their dream of new home ownership a reality. Martin Grant Homes’ selling agents undertake responsibility of the process from start to finish, including arranging independent valuations, instructing estate agents and appointing mortgage brokers. This initiative comes at no extra cost to the buyer and ensures that the best market value is still achieved for their existing property.

Separately, the housebuilder is offering to pay stamp duty on the four bedroom ‘The Swift’ house type, though this cannot be used in conjunction with Smooth Move. Help to Buy is also available on selected plots.

Over 50% of homes have already been sold at this development, with prices starting at £395,000 for this collection of four- and five-bedroom houses. The new show home is now open to visit by appointment seven days a week, 10.00am to 5.00pm.

New homes in Limehouse now for sale

PhoenixFairview New Homes is now offering properties for sale at a brand new development in Limehouse, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

The development, named Phoenix, will provide 103 new properties set around landscaped podium gardens. The new apartments are located adjacent to the Limehouse Cut, are now available and priced from £399,000 for a one-bedroom home and from £499,000 for a two-bedroom home. There is now a marketing suite open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm.

These homes have an impressive design and specification including high-gloss kitchens and fully integrated appliances along with engineered oak flooring. Properties priced up to £600,000 can be purchased with the London Help to Buy scheme which requires a deposit of 5% and a mortgage of 55% of the property price.
