NORTH WEST

First reservation at launched Mawdesley development – Keen house-hunters in Lancashire have already reserved a home at St Peter’s Park, a recently reserved Jones Homes development in Mawdesley. The development is one of 56 new homes which includes a range of four- and five-bedroom detached houses and 21 properties designated as affordable housing for local people. Show home opens in Bolton – Jones Homes has unveiled a brand new show home at Clevelands, its development off Chorley Road in Bolton. The spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment has been decorated and furnished by professional interior designers and is one of only 12 apartments within Marlowe House, the final block for sale here. Clevelands is a development of luxury apartments and townhouses set in the mature grounds of a former school, which has itself been converted into apartments. Apartments in Marlowe House all have allocated parking and start from £234,950, available through Help to Buy. ​New development launches in South Ribble – Lovell has released a handful of homes to reserve off-plan at Shawbrook Manor, a brand new development in South Ribble, Lancashire. It will be bringing 200 home to the area, a mixture of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes and two-bedroom bungalows in a variety of different styles. 60 will be affordable housing, overseen by Together Housing. SOUTH WEST

A dozen reservations at opening weekend in Wichelstowe – David Wilson Homes and Barratt Homes saw 12 of their homes reserved at the launch of the first homes at Wichelstowe, a large development scheme bringing some 3,000 homes to Swindon. Canalside @ Wichelstowe will feature a mix of 208 apartments and houses which will be ready for the first residents to move into next year. The first properties now available from Barratt Homes include apartments priced from £154,995, three-bedroom houses from £284,995 and the larger four-bedroom homes priced from £329,995. The first homes from David Wilson Homes include the two-bedroom ‘Cherwell’ apartment priced from £180,000 and the four-bedroom ‘Wichel Stray’ house design, priced from £405,000. Launch of new homes in Gloucestershire this weekend – Saturday 26 October sees the launch of Newland Orchard, a new development from Newland Homes, in Whitminster, just north-west of Stroud. It comprises a selection of 31 individually designed, sustainable properties with far-reaching views over adjoining countryside, and buyers can choose from three-, four- and five-bedroom house types, detached and semi-detached. Among them is the five-bedroom ‘Whitminster’ style show house, a barn-style property. Selected properties here are available through Help to Buy. WALES

Sales launch at Ebbw Vale development – Lovell has opened the doors to a new development in Ebbw Vale. Launched at the housebuilder’s nearby Ymyl Yr Afon development in Merthyr, Golwg Y Bryn will provide a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes and is due to open its brand-new marketing suite and show homes at the end of this year. Six of eight available home were reserved in less than an hour from launch. There are currently two two-bedroom ‘Gainsborough’ homes for sale, priced from £134,995 and able to be purchased through the government-backed Help to Buy Wales scheme. New homes in Cardiff proving popular – David Wilson Homes is seeing ‘rightsizers’ purchasing at its Goitre Fach development on the outskirts of Cardiff. Located on the border of St Fagans and Radyr, it comprises four- and five-bedroom executive homes including the four-bedroom ‘Exeter’, ‘Holden’ and ‘Layton’ home designs, priced from £450,000, £468,000 and £490,000 respectively, and the five-bedroom ‘Manning’, from £583,000. Move in for Christmas at South Wales site – Lovell has just one home remaining for sale at Oakfield Grange, just south of Cwmbran. The final property is the four-bedroom, detached ‘Hardy’ style home at plot 61, now priced at £299,995, just inside the threshold for Help to Buy Wales, and comes with free carpets and paid for Land Transaction Tax (Stamp Duty). EAST MIDLANDS

Extras on last home on current phase in Kettering – With the final phase selling quickly, Barratt Homes in Northamptonshire now has only one home for sale on the current phase of Bertone Manor in Kettering. Third phase announced at New Romney development – Pentland Homes has announced the next phase of homes at its Mulberry Place development in New Romney, Kent will be launched on Saturday 26 October. Three new show homes in Winchester – At 10.30am on Saturday 26 October, CALA Homes opens a trio of new show homes at Kings Barton at Winterbourne Meadows, its development in Winchester. The launch will offer visitors a chance to tour the professionally fitted homes and speak to solicitors, mortgage advisors and Help to Buy experts, accompanied by canapes, a sweet cart, and cocktails made by expert mixologists, as well as entertainment from a magician and balloon artist for children. EAST ANGLIA

Show home unveiled on Suffolk coast – Generator Group has opened the doors to a brand new show home at Laureate Fields, its development on Ferry Road in Old Felixstowe. An example of the contemporary homes there, it is a three-bedroom house fully fitted and decorated by Haus Interiors. It has an open-plan living area with engineered oak flooring, a galleried landing and a vaulted ceiling with skylight. New homes launch in Harrow this weekend – Barratt London is releasing a new collection of homes at its Eastman Village development in Harrow on Saturday 26 October. Hazeview Apartments is bringing eight three- and four-bedroom townhouses in addition to 70 new one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, some of which will boast views of the Green Link park to the north of the energy centre. The whole development will bring 1,800 homes to the site of the old Kodak factory. Prices on this new phase start from £309,000, with Help to Buy London available. Two luxury apartments on digital auction platform – BidX1, the digital property marketplace, has listed two luxury off-plan residential apartments in Keybridge Lofts, Vauxhall for sale on Thursday 31 October. These mark the first off-plan property listings for the digital platform in the UK. There’s a three-bedroom penthouse and two-bedroom apartment on the development which offers 24-hour concierge service, gym, spa and a swimming pool.  The duplex penthouse has a guide price of £1.95m; the 898-sq-ft two-bedroom apartment has a guide price of £975,000. ‘Treats’ day on Shared Ownership homes across east London – Peabody is hosting a “Your Home, Our Treat” event on Saturday 26 October between 10.00am and 4.00pm which will offer buyers the chance to reserve Shared Ownership homes at one of four new developments and enjoy a mix and match of treats up to the value of £2,500. This could be legal fees paid, classic John Lewis shopping vouchers, Virgin Holiday vouchers or a combination of them all. WEST MIDLANDS

A few homes left to buy in Rugby – Taylor Wimpey is down to just a few homes to sell at its Rochberie Heights development in Rugby, Warwickshire. Amongst the final homes, is the three-bedroom ‘Flatford’ show house, for sale for £280,000, which has been decorated with the latest interior design trends and fitted with a fully integrated kitchen, flooring throughout and a professionally landscaped garden. New homes on the edge of Glennifer Braes – For Paisley house-hunters, Miller Homes is now selling a range of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes at its Hawkhead development. Here, there is a ‘Tait’ show home, fully fitted to some of the latest trends by a professional designer. This four-bedroom, three-bathroom house is available on Plot 2 from £297,000, and buyers could be moved in for Christmas. There is an incentive in October, the housebuilder offering to cover the cost of the mortgage repayments up to £1,000 a month, for up to six months, and this home is also available with Part Exchange and comes with an upgraded kitchen. A Guide To Part Buy Part Rent
With Home Reach you buy a share of your chosen newly built home and pay a monthly rent on the part you don’t buy. Your budget will decide the size of the share you buy, rather than the size of your home. So, you might decide to buy a bigger share of a lower priced home or a smaller share of a more expensive home.

You are able to purchase your share in either cash savings or by taking out a mortgage. If you are taking out a mortgage to finance your share, you will need to allow for a minimum of 5% deposit. The larger your deposit (typically 10%) the lower your mortgage repayments are likely to be.
