First-time buyer interest strong at Exeter development – Barratt Homes has found that many of the homes sold so far at Minerva in Exeter, Devon have been reserved by first-time buyers. Help to Buy Wales still available in Monmouth – David Wilson Homes is reminding house-hunters in the Monmouth area that even if they used Help to Buy Wales five years ago, the government-backed initiative that requires only a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage on a brand new home under £300,000, the price of some properties here. Home-owners who have already taken advantage of the first five years interest-free on their 20% equity loan, can start another five years in a new home to pay no interest. Buy-to-let interest in new homes in Southampton – Inland Homes has seen a lot of interest from property investors at Meridian Waterside, its development in Southampton, Hampshire. The latest release of homes there are priced from £175,000 (for a one-bedroom property) to £228,000 and command rents of between £795 pcm and £1,050 pcm.
