Launch event in Chelmsford this weekend – Saturday 11 May sees the launch of a new development in Chelmsford, Essex, and a host of special deals for those reserving on the day. Central House will be open from 10.00am to 4.00pm for people to learn more about this collection of 37 apartments, including a penthouse, where prices currently start at £175,000. The government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available here and incentives for those reserving on the day (which will only cost £1.00!) include a free furniture pack and contributions towards Stamp Duty and legal fees. Cambridgeshire village sees new launch on Saturday – Award-winning housebuilder Hill is unveiling The Orchards this Saturday 11 May, a development of 45 two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom houses and bungalows in Great Abington on the outskirts of Cambridge. Close by are a primary school, village shop, pub, cricket club and village hall. These new homes are around eight miles south-east of the city and well located for access to A11 and M11. Part Exchange event in Cambridgeshire this weekend – Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May see Bellway hosting a Part Exchange event at its Brampton Gate development just south west of Huntingdon. It’s a chance for Cambridgeshire house-hunters to find out more about how they can swap their current home for one of the three-, four- and five-bedroom homes at the site. Special upgrade offer on new Canary Wharf development – Chalegrove Properties has launched ‘The Loft Collection’ of studios at its Landmark Pinnacle development in Canary Wharf, with the offer of free upgrades on previously reserved units. There are three different layout types for the apartments which are located across levels 11 to 64, offering 419 sq ft to 548 sq ft of living space, with prices starting from just £480,000. The developer is also offering those that have already purchased other studios at Landmark Pinnacle the option to upgrade their apartment to a Loft Collection specification free-of-charge. Launch of new homes in Park Royal – May sees the launch of the first of 807 new apartments that Fairview and L&Q are building at Regency Heights in Park Royal, west London. Fairview will be building 499 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with the first residents expected to move in this autumn. Launch of new homes in Mill Hill – Barratt London has launched a new development in Mill Hill, north London. Millbrook Park comprises 345 apartments and 10 luxury houses, with the first residents able to move in in Summer 2020. On a former Army barracks site next to Finchley Golf Club, the first homes start from £377,000 for a one-bedroom apartment with balcony or terrace, with floor-to-ceiling windows and parking included. New phase of Shared Ownership homes in Harrow – Network Homes has released the second phase of Lyon Square, its collection of one- and two- bedroom Shared Ownership apartments in heart of Harrow. Each home has its own terrace or balcony, and there’s communal spaces for residents to share. Show homes open doors in Edinburgh – There are two new show homes for house-hunters in the south of Edinburgh to visit now, with Barratt Homes opening a pair of them at Heritage Grange. There’s a three-bedroom ‘Coull’ house type, and a four-bedroom ‘Dunbar’, both fully decorated and fitted. The development is a 15-minute drive from the city centre and within easy reach of the Pentland Hills. Show home for sale in Inverness – Tulloch Homes has put the show home at Greenfields, Inverness on the market, with the high-specification, four-bedroom ‘Culzean’ house type coming with a double garage and with all contents included. Help to Buy homes now for sale in Fife – Muir Homes has unveiled The Green, a new development of 20 properties in Anstruther, along the East Neuk of Fife coastline. Priced from £148,995 to £166,995, these homes are all available on the government-backed Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme, with buyers having a choice of two-bedroom cottage apartments, some with their own front and back gacardens, and two-bedroom terraced homes with integrated garages. Family fun day at East Calder – Taylor Wimpey East Scotland is inviting prospective homebuyers to a family fun day at Calderwood in East Calder, where it has recently launched a new ‘Stewart’ four-bedroom, detached show home. The event will take place on Sunday 12 May between 12.00noon and 4.00pm, with entertainment including balloon modelling and children’s magic, face painting, large garden games and a fun photobooth. The first 20 visitors who register their details at the development will receive a £20 voucher for the neighbourhood community place to eat, drink and catch-up with friends. Interiors event at new homes in Glasgow this weekend – Barratt Homes has invited house-hunters and homeowners to a free event at its Riverside @ Cathcart in Glasgow on Saturday 11 May, where Margot Paton, design director of interior design experts Chelsea McLaine will be offering free interiors advice on the latest trends on furnishings and decoration. Just two homes left at Neston development – There has been so much interest at 10-home The Old Dairy development in the market town of Neston, Cheshire that there are now just two properties left for sale. Show home in Morpeth launches this weekend – On Saturday 11 May, Duchy Homes is giving house-hunters in Northumberland the first chance to see the five-bedroom show house at Fulbeck Grange, its development in Morpeth. Help to Buy at High Wycombe development – Inland Homes expects theb government-backed Help to Buy to be particularly popular at its Centre Square development in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, where it has a range of one- and two-bedroom apartments available from £240,000 and £330,000 respectively. The development is ten minutes’ walk from the town’s station, which has regular services into London which take as little as 26 minutes. Launch of development in Stroud – CALA Homes has launched off-plan Elizabeth Meadows, a development of three- four- and five-bedroom homes in Stroud, a village two miles west of Petersfield in Hampshire. Stamp Duty deal at Kent development – Fernham Homes is offering to pay Stamp Duty on the four-bedroom ‘Aspen’ home at its Boughton Park development in Kent. The development is in the village of Boughton Monchelsea, near Maidstone, a collection of 25 four- and five-bedroom homes. The 1,200-sq-ft ‘Aspen’ is priced at £440,000, so the deal would save around £7,000 for first-time buyers or £12,000 for others. Boughton Park is very close to the village green and a range of shops and amenities, and about three miles from the well-served Maidstone East station. Housebuilder sees Help to Buy success – Bellway has seen keen buyer interest at two of its developments in the South East where Help to Buy is available on a range of homes. Forest Chase in Yateley, Hampshire is bringing two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £350,000 for a two-bedroom home to £620,000 for a four-bedroom home. The five-bedroom house types will be released later this year. Yew Tree Gardens in Oxfordshire comprises two-, three- and four-bedroom homes less than a mile from Cholsey railway station, under an hour from London Paddington.
