New Homes Launches, Events and Offers This Week

Our weekly report on the latest launches, events and special offers for buyers of new homes across the UK...

Spring is here and the new homes market is as busy as ever and he we look at the launches, events and special offers for house-hunters at developments from national and regional housebuilders...  

 

LONDON 

Car Club membership for buyers at Ealing development – Catalyst is offering buyers at its Aspire, St Bernard’s Gate development in the London Borough of Ealing, three years’ free membership to the service as well as £50 worth of vehicle rentals. The properties, located between Southall and Hanwell, can be purchased through private sale (with the option of Help to Buy London) or Shared Ownership, with a collection of one- and two-bedroom apartments available. There will be two Enterprise Car Club vehicles will be based in dedicated parking spaces and buyers will have access to the wider Enterprise Car Club network. With private sales, the one- and two-bedroom apartments start at £317,500 and £412,500 respectively. New phase to launch at City Road development – Anyone searching for a high-specification home in Zone 1 will have a new range of luxury apartments released for sale imminently in Valencia Tower, the latest phase of Berkeley Homes’ 250 City Road development. This will be a 36-storey tower, alongside 42-storey Carrara Tower, launched in 2015. The development, designed by Foster & Partners, will in all comprise 954 homes across eight buildings, alongside office and retail space and a 190-bed 4* NHow hotel, which opens soon. The apartments interiors have been designed with a range of buyers in the area – close the The City, Hoxton and Shoreditch – and prices for the new phase will start at £870,000 for a one-bedroom apartment. Energy technology package available at Kidbrooke Village – Berkeley has introduced a way for residents at Kidbrooke Village in the London Borough of Greenwich. The Future Energy Home package from E.ON starts at £649 for a studio or one-bedroom apartment fit-out and can be installed before a buyer moves into their new property. There are several options to choose from to upgrade the property: a ‘smart’ thermostat and smart radiator valves, which can be individually adjusted from anywhere on an app, ‘smart’ light switches and plug sockets; a clean tariff bolt-on to source 100% renewable electricity in the UK; and E.ON Home, which is energy management software that connects electrical devices onto a single tablet-based platform. This package is available at apartments at Kidbrooke Village’s Agora Court and Centrum Court phases, where prices start at £355,000 for a Manhattan studio suite and £385,000 for a one-bedroom home. Sales suite and show home now open in Bromley-by-Bow – Linden Homes recently opened the marketing suite and a show home at Lime Quarter, its apartment development in east London located opposite Devons Road DLR station and a short walk from Bromley-by-Bow station. There are one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, mostly located in a 20-storey tower and currently on sale priced from £380,000, with many available on Help to Buy London. New tower garden coming to East London – The ‘Panorama Garden Square’ coming to the Landmark Pinnacle development in East London will be the first of its kind, taking up the entire 27th floor of the 75-storey tower and mixing a traditionally design garden square with a children’s play area.  It will be split into an East and West side with active and calm environments respectively, each with impressive views across the capital. The building will also be topped by two double height roof terraces with an all-weather lawn, a water feature and backlit walkways. Special offer on plot in Stratford development – Bellway London is now offering nearly £40,000 discount on one plot at its Legacy Wharf development in Stratford. Plot 141 is one the first floor and comes with three bedrooms, with the price reduced from £589,000 to £549,995. The buyer of this and the other remaining homes will also be offered for free an annual travel card, worth up to £1,658. WEST MIDLANDS  

First chance to buy at Priorslee scheme – Lovell Homes has just opened the doors to a collection of new homes at Queensbury Park, its development in Priorslee, Telford. One example is the two-bedroom ‘Althorpe’ home with two double bedrooms, parking for two cars, fitted kitchen, turfed and fenced rear gardens. The government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available here. Some 165 two-, three- and four-bedroom properties will be coming to the site, which is just north of the centre of Telford and within easy reach of shops, amenities and transport links. SCOTLAND  

Only four homes left at Dunfermline site – Taylor Wimpey has sold all but four units at Kingseat, its development in Dunfermline, Fife. These are all four-bedroom detached houses starting from £212,995 for the ‘Douglas’ property type. Selected remaining homes include upgrades worth over £5,000, with Part Exchange and free flooring throughout their new home also offered. The show home is still open, a professionally decorated and fitted ‘Geddes’ house type, and visitors can take a look around between 11.00am and 5.30pm, from Thursday to Monday. Final homes at Upper Gourock development – The last few homes are for sale at Kirn Gardens, a Merchant Homes development in Upper Gourock, Renfrewshire. Of the five homes, one is the four-bedroom, 1,316-sq-ft detached ‘Lewis’ house priced at £275,000. A three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Blair’ house type is available at £195,000, with the option of Scotland Help to Buy. Remaining homes for sale at Fife developments – Muir Homes only has a few units left at two developments in Fife. At St David’s Harbour in Dalgety, just seven of the luxury apartments are as yet unsold. There’s a choice of two- and three-bedroom units in the development, which is spread over four blocks and only released for sale in November 2018. All homes come with private allocated parking, with selected apartments will offer gardens, terraces or balconies. Prices range from £185,000 to £269,995. At Castlefleurie in Leven there are also seven homes to choose from in the final phase, with a two-bedroom terrace home from £135,995. Some units can be purchased via Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme. Moving incentives on new Newton Mearns retirement homes – McCarthy & Stone is offering incentives to potential buyers of one of the homes at its age-exclusive Ashbrae development in Newton Mears. The development comprises 30 contemporary-design ‘Lifestyle Living’ properties with prices starting from £294,000. Each floor of the building is accessible by lift, a private balcony or terrace, there’s secure video entry, a 24-hour emergency call facility, on-site concierge and landscaped gardens and each home comes with allocated parking. Purchasers have the choice of Part Exchange or Move for Free (a contribution to each of LBTT, estate agency fees, legal fees and removal costs). SOUTH WEST 

New show home opens in Langford development – House-hunters in Bristol can now take a look at a new show home opened by Bellway at Blagdon Gardens in Langford. There are a range of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes coming to the site, with the four-bedroom ‘Elm’ show house an example of layout and specification that buyers can expect to find. New development opens in Yelland this weekend – Saturday 9 March sees the launch of Tarka Ridge, a collection of homes from David Wilson Homes. Two show homes will be open for visitors to tour, each of which is fully furnished to demonstrate what living in one of the development’s three-, four- and five-bedroom houses would be like. WALES 

News show homes leads to more new homes sales – Barratt Homes has seen a flurry of sales at its development in Barry following the recent opening of a show home there. A four-bedroom ‘Haversham’ house type was unveiled at Waterside @ The Quays and it has led to a number of new sales there. The ‘Haversham’ townhouse is priced from £248,995, laid out over three floors with an open-plan living/dining room, separate lounge and a private garden. Show home goes on sale in North Wales – Elan Homes has released the show home for sale at its Argoed Gardens development near Mold, Flintshire. The lucky buyer will have a fully decorated new property, only needing their furniture and belongings. It’s a four-bedroom ‘Southwold’ house and it can be purchased through the EasyMove incentive, where the housebuilder arranges for the customer’s property to be valued, appoints estate agents to market it and keeps in contact to ensure progression.  When an acceptable offer is received the customer can reserve a new Elan home and the company will pay the agent’s fees. SOUTH EAST  

New two-bedroom homes launched in Westergate – David Wilson Homes has relased a new collection of two-bedroom homes at The Furlongs, its development in Westergate, West Sussex. The new houses are the ‘Fernhurst’ and ‘Tamar’ house designs, priced from £275,000 and £279,000 respectively, with two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. The Furlongs is bringing two-, three- and five-bedroom homes to the village, on the edge of the South Downs and within easy reach of Chichester and Bognor Regis. Just four homes left at Aylesham development – Kent house-hunters will find just four homes remaining for sale at Aylesham Village, a Barratt Homes development around eight miles south-east of Canterbury. There are two-, four- and five-bedroom houses available, including the detached ‘Cambridge’ family house type with open-plan kitchen/breakfast/dining room, utility room, separate lounge and study, en suite master bedroom and three more double bedrooms. Buyer event at Hailsham site this weekend – On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March Linden Homes ids hosting a buyer event at its Millwood Park development in Hailsham, East Sussex. It has partnered with housing provider heylo housing to offer three-bedroom homes from £149,975 (for a 50% share, based on a full market value of £299,950) via the Shared Ownership scheme, with subidised rent payable on the balance not bought. A 5% deposit is required only on the purchase share. There are also other properties available there via Help to Buy, and Linden’s Part Exchange and Assisted Move schemes. New homes launched in Bramley – Bewley Homes has unveiled its latest development, Centenary Fields in Bramley, Surrey. Located on Sherfield Road site, it will feature a selection of 30 two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes. There’s a show home to view, a four-bedroom detached property with open-plan kitchen/dining room, a separate utility room and a garage. It shows upgrades to carpets and worktops. Prices for this home type start at £350,000. There’s a sepcial offer to anyone reserving a home in March – a choice of fitted carpets or Amtico flooring, plus Silestone worktops and garden laid to lawn. The housebuilder will also cover £2,000 towards moving costs and £1,000 towards legal fees (£1,500 if reserving a five-bedroom home).
