Legal Fees Paid Offers On Part Buy-Part Rent In Home Counties

First-time buyers who are looking for their modest budget to go further with a ‘part buy-part rent’ scheme could make a considerable saving at West Sussex, Berkshire and Surrey sites right now.

Until 31 July, Home Reach is offering to pay up to £2,500 towards purchasers of on selected plots some of its current developments in Handcross, Wokingham and Redhill.

Home Reach is a partnership between housing provider heylo and a number of housebuilders across England. It is open to first-time buyers who meet the eligibility criteria and is a way of purchasing a share of a new build home and paying a subsidised rent on the remainder, with heylo as the landlord. It offers all the benefits of homeownership but requires a much smaller deposit and mortgage than purchasing outright. If they wish, owners can buy further shares later as their budget allows, until they own 100%.

Hoadlands Grange in the village of Handcross, set within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of the likes of Haywards Heath, Crawley and Horsham. There are currently a number of two-bedroom homes for sale here.

One is a maisonette with open-plan kitchen/living /dining room off which is a useful utility area, along with two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. This is priced at £131,980 based on 40% share (full market price £329,950). Prices at Hoadlands Grange start at £119,980 for a 40% share of a two-bedroom apartment (full market price £229,950).

Nightingale Fields at Arborfield Green is a former military site around four miles from the centre of Wokingham and within easy reach of Reading. Both bedrooms are doubles, with the bonus of en suite shower room and built-in wardrobe to the master. There’s also a family bathroom.
