Posted 7 May 2021 by Keith Osborne

Our favourite new home is a ground-floor two-bedroom apartment at Talbot Homes’ The Courts in Banbury...

The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new build home for sale – right now it’s an apartment at The Courts, an impressive conversion development from Talbot Homes close to the centre in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Apartment 1 is a two-double-bedroom, two-bathroom ground floor apartment in the west wing of The Courts building. It offers a generous 859 sq ft of living space. Its heart is the large open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with wood-effect flooring. The kitchen has charcoal matt handle-less storage and marble-effect worktops along one wall and on a feature island/breakfast bar. There’s a range of integrated appliances including a dishwasher and induction hob. Behind the kitchen is a very useful walk-in storage cupboard.

A hallway leads off this room which passes a bathroom and bedroom two to bedroom one, which has an en suite shower room. Bathroom and en suite have contemporary white sanitaryware with matt black fittings and Porcelanosa ceramic wall and floor tiles. Both bedrooms are fully carpeted. Talbot Homes offers bespoke wardrobes as an upgrade, and house-hunters can see an example in the show home, as well as be inspired by the latest interiors trends.

The CourtsThe Courts has been named in reference to the building’s original role as the Magistrates Courts. The three-storey period building has been converted to a collection of 23 one- and two-bedroom apartments. Its central location means residents are just a short walk from the town centre, leisure centre and the railway station. As well as the private landscaped gardens of The Courts, the green open spaces of Spiceball Country Park and People’s Park are only a stroll away.

The Courts has 35 dedicated residence car parking spaces, with electric car charging ports, and cycle storage. Apartment 1 is priced at £265,000. Find out more from Talbot Homes.
