Home of the Day – The ‘Clarendon II’, Redrow

Posted 16 June 2021 by Keith Osborne

We love the ‘Clarendon II’, a contemporary three-storey family home type from WhatHouse? Award-winning Redrow…

The WhatHouse? team reports on our favourite new build house type, the ‘Clarendon II’, which is available right now at Redrow’s development The Steeples in Beckley, Oxfordshire.

On Plot 20, the ‘Clarendon II’ is priced at £610,000 and has been designed to give people working at home a flexible layout that can keep workspace separate from personal life. Set over three floors, it comes ‘readymade’, meaning the expert team has already done the hard work of decorating, furnishing and landscaping the garden, so house-hunters can move into their home straightaway.

On the ground floor, a dining and family room overlooking the garden offers the ideal space to spend time together, while a separate kitchen provides time away from the hustle and bustle – meaning there’s less chance of you keeping an eye on your laptop while simultaneously cooking your dinner. On the first floor, the lounge provides a comfortable space to unwind, while a room at the front of the house makes for the ideal home office. The addition of a second floor removes the temptation to pop into the next room to check your emails, creating the perfect retreat, with both bedrooms on the top floor featuring an en suite for an added touch of luxury.

Clarendon IISarah Boyce, sales director at Redrow Thames Valley, said: “The ‘Clarendon II’ is the perfect property for those looking for a home complete with a layout and design that offers a real separation between working and relaxing.

“The development itself is one of the most advanced NHS England Healthy New Town sites, with robust design principles in place to encourage residents to live healthier, more active lifestyles. From an abundance of green space to a whole host of community facilities, The Steeples really does ensure homeowners prioritise their wellbeing and make the most of much-needed downtime.”

A growing new community already exists at The Steeples, supported by the creation of a new primary school, community pavilion and sports pitches, as part of Redrow’s commitment to the regeneration of the local area. There’s a selection of excellent private and state schools nearby snd the John Radcliffe Hospital is also within walking distance. Located just off the A40 and a short distance from the M40, there are direct trains to London from Oxford or Oxford Parkway stations taking less than an hour

Three- and four-bedroom homes are available from £545,000 at The Steeples, with show homes open daily from 10.00am to 5.30pm by appointment. Find out more from Redrow.
