Home of the Day – The ‘Dunstanburgh’, Harron Homes

Posted 18 October 2021 by Keith Osborne

Our favourite new house for sale right now is the ‘Dunstanburgh’ at Harron Homes’ Thoresby Vale in Edwinstowe…

The WhatHouse? team’s favourite new home for sale at the moment is an attractive five-bedroom house type which Harron Homes is currently offering at its Thoresby Vale development in the Nottinghamshire village of Edwinstowe.

The ‘Dunstanburgh’ is on Plot 54 and currently on the market for £499,995 (recently reduced from £511,995) and reserving now means the inclusion of a range of integrated kitchen appliances including fridge freezer, dishwasher and wine cooler, a flooring package and a Stamp Duty paid offer worth £14,499. It’s ready to move into before Christmas.

This is a double-fronted house type with an integral double garage. Off the spacious hallway at the front of the home is a sizeable double-aspect living room with bay window and at the rear is the open-plan kitchen/family room which also has a bay with French doors to the south-facing rear garden. Off to one side of this room is the utility room and cloakroom, on the other, double doors to the dedicated dining room.

Upstairs, there are five bedrooms – all doubles – two of which come with their own en suite shower room, with the bonus of a dressing area with plentiful wardrobe storage to bedroom one. There is also a study/home office room at the front of the house, and the family bathroom comes with a bath and separate walk-in shower.

Edwinstowe is located in the heart of Sherwood Forest and has its own shops, pubs and cafés, and within easy reach of many more, being around seven miles from Mansfield and nine miles from Worksop. The A614 is only a few minutes away and provides a direct route to Doncaster and Nottingham. The cities of Sheffield and Derby are both an hour away.

The marketing suite at Thoresby Vale is open from Thursday to Monday, 10.30am to 5.30pm. Prices for the current range of three- and four-bedroom house start at £261,995, and there’s a new collection of four- and five-bedroom homes coming soon.
