Housebuilder’s Apartments Still Stamp-Duty Free

Posted 12 July 2021 by Keith Osborne

Crest Nicholson still has a range of homes for sale where buyers currently don't have to pay Stamp Duty...

While the Stamp Duty holiday threshold changed on 1 July, Crest Nicholson is still offering savings on selected properties at some of its developments across the West Midlands, South West and South East.

Ralph Hawkins, managing director at Crest Nicholson South West, explained: “The new changes to thresholds mean that first time buyers don’t pay any stamp duty on homes up to £300,000. For those who already own a property and are looking to take the next step up the ladder, they have three months to take advantage of the new £250,000 threshold before it moves back down to £125,000. This temporary exemption will give second time buyers the ideal opportunity to make significant savings.”

Crest Nicholson has a wide range of properties available in this price range, maximising savings for potential buyers.
