This famous part of London is on the eastern border of the borough. The wider Bermondsey area has been benefitting from regeneration for many years and is now perhaps best-known for its Shad Thames riverside warehouse conversions and its fashionable High Street, which has many admired independent shops, cafés and restaurants, plus the popular ‘Beer Mile’ of craft breweries. Numerous museums, galleries and antiques market also make this a popular place to live and visit.
