Keith OsborneSustainability is high on the agenda for Barratt Homes and David Wilson as they bring high-quality, eco-friendly homes to the county, and the WhatHouse? Award-winning housebuilders are taking their commitment one step further this festive season by ensuring all their Christmas tree decorations are eco-friendly.
The leading housebuilders are bringing some festive cheer to their show homes across Dorset and will be decking out each property’s Yuletide trees in only ‘green’ glass and paper baubles. And, while ensuring they do their utmost to reduce their impact on the environment, the developers are also making small changes that will make a difference.
Tammy Bishop, Barratt and David Wilson Homes sales director, Southampton Division, said: “Barratt and David Wilson are committed to being the leading national sustainable housebuilders and are driving towards ensuring all their new house types are zero carbon in use from 2030. In line with this commitment, we are also making little changes to help the planet. I’m delighted we’ve been able to source these wonderful eco-friendly tree decorations for all our show homes. Christmas has well and truly arrived.”
It’s the show homes at the housebuilders’ Quarter Jack Park development in Wimborne and Compass Point in Swanage that have all been kitted out in readiness for December 25th. Both developments include a collection of sustainable properties for buyers wishing to set up home in the coastal county.
Quarter Jack Park is situated close to Wimborne town centre and is bringing a host of house types that will appeal to a wide range of buyer requirements and budgets, with the benefits of excellent transport links to Bournemouth, Poole and Southampton and for families, the proximity of Ofsted 'Outstanding' schools. For all fans of the great outdoors, the New Forest National Park is less than 20 minutes away by car.
