Keith OsborneKeen house-hunters in Derbyshire have a chance to take their pick of the homes being constructed at a brand new development in Shirland.
Developer Strata has put the very first of its homes at Destination 34 up for sale off-plan. This first release – which is being sold from its existing, successful Embrace development in Nottingham, around half-an-hour’s drive away – offers three- and four-bedroom house types priced from £245,000.
The ‘Geneva’ starts at £245,000. The kitchen opens to space for dining, working or playing, and from there to the lounge area, where French doors lead you outside. There are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor and the second floor is dedicated to the master bedroom and en suite.
The ‘Oporto’, from £270,000, is a detached four-bedroom home with spacious, light-filled lounge, open-plan kitchen and dining area with French doors to the rear garden, downstairs cloakroom, a single and two double bedrooms with family bathroom on the first floor and loft-style master bedroom suite, with dressing area, fitted wardrobe and en suite shower room on the top floor.
The ’Bologna’, from £320,000, is set over two floors. Off one side of the hallway of this double-fronted house is a dual-aspect kitchen/dining room with breakfast bar, off the other is the lounge, which has two sets of French doors out to the garden. There are two double bedrooms (one en suite) and two single bedrooms, with a family bathroom completing the upstairs layout.
Shirland, together with nearby Higham and Alfreston, offer a range of essential shops and amenities, as well as well-ranked schools, and it’s around 20 minutes by car to the likes of Derby, Chesterfield, Mansfield and Matlock.
