September has seen the unveiling of a number of new developments and show houses from Redrow...

Redrow Homes has recently unveiled a number of developments and show homes at sites across the country.

There are now a host of new houses and apartments to view at half-a-dozen of its schemes in Kent, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire. Many are available through Help to Buy and on properties up to £500,000, there is no Stamp Duty to pay currently, since the ‘holiday’ announced by the government in July.

Buyers reserving off-plan can make use of Redrow’s customer platform, MyRedrow, to select extras and upgrades, including the option to add a conservatory to some properties.

Monchelsea Park, Maidstone, Kent

Monchelsea ParkMonchelsea Park will feature a mix of apartments and houses, catering to a wide range of buyers at different stages of life. The initial launch offers a selection of three- and four-bedroom detached houses from Redrow’s Heritage Collection, which is inspired by the early 20th century Arts & Crafts movement.

The development is located to the south-east of Maidstone and puts the homes in carefully planned areas of open space, including a central green. The centre of the town is a 15-minute drive away. Within walking and cycling distance are schools, supermarkets, a garden centre, pubs, and restaurants.

Lucy Brobyn, marketing coordinator at Redrow South East, commented: “At Monchelsea Park residents will have the best of both worlds, beautiful countryside on the doorstep and the town of Maidstone moments away, providing quick connections to London and catering for all shopping and entertaining needs.”

Prices at Monchelsea Park currently start at £399,955.

The Steeples, Oxford

The SteeplesThe Steeples is part of the creation of a ‘21st century garden suburb’ in Headington, on the eastern fringes of the popular, historic city. This development will deliver 207 three- and four-bedroom homes, with a series of individually designed ‘pocket parks’. Current options include the ‘Clarendon II’ three-bedroom, three-bathroom home, priced from £594,995, and the four-double-bedroom, detached ‘Blenheim’ from £782,995.

The new neighbourhood is one of the most advanced NHS England Healthy New Town demonstrator sites, with robust design principles in place to deliver infrastructure which is supporting residents to live healthier, more active lives. There’s a selection of excellent private and state schools nearby, and the John Radcliffe Hospital is also within walking distance.

Sarah Boyce, sales director for Redrow Homes Thames Valley, said: “We’re now setting up one-to-one appointments with our sales consultants to answer any questions customers might have and help them to find a spacious new home that is perfectly suited to them.”

The Parklands, Haverhill, Suffolk

The ParklandsThe Parklands will form part of a brand new community near the market town of Haverhill, known as Great Wilsey Park, which will eventually provide 2,500 new homes. Alongside new homes there will be extensive open space including a country park running through the centre of the scheme.

The wider scheme is delivering vital community facilities, including two new primary schools, one two-form entry and one one-form entry, catering to local residents by providing education within walking distance. A new community hub is being created too, providing new and existing residents with a health centre, office units and a care home, alongside local shops.

Prices for the homes here start at £393,995.

Hendricks Green, Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire

Hendricks GreenHendricks Green offers 360 new homes, including bespoke two-bedroom apartments and three- and four-bedroom houses as well as green open spaces, a large village green, and a village crescent on site. The landscaping strategy is focused on maintaining natural biodiversity, with tree-lined streets, species-rich hedgerows and pollen-rich flowers.

London is only 25 miles away from the development. Local Cuffley and Waltham Cross train stations also provide fast transport links to the capital, with Liverpool Street as little as half-an-hour away.

Prices are currently upon application.

Clarence Fields, Wigston, Leicestershire

Clarence FieldsA new three-bedroom show home has been opened at Redrow’s latest development in Leicestershire, Clarence Fields. The ‘Amberley’ has a large open-plan kitchen and dining room and an expansive lounge. Practicality is combined with luxury, with modern appliances complemented by chic décor choices. A contemporary, burnt orange lounge with hints of grey is balanced by an airy, neutral kitchen with accents of green. Traditional craftsmanship is also at the core of the home, with classic exteriors giving the property an unrivalled elegance.

With three generously sized bedrooms, including a master bedroom with twin built-in wardrobes and large en suite, and a third bedroom that can also easily be used as a home office or wellness space, this home is designed to make family life as seamless as possible.

Ryan O’Sullivan, head of sales for Redrow Homes East Midlands, said: “Life in lockdown has reinforced what people are looking for in a new home, with a garden and flexible indoor space for a study, gym or playroom high on house-hunters requirements. Our homes are proving incredibly popular in this region and this development really does tick all the boxes, offering the perfect balance between town and country living.”
