Part Exchange Event In Kent This Saturday

Posted 2 October 2020 by Keith Osborne

There's a Part Exchange event for house-hunters in Stelling Minnis, near Canterbury, on Saturday 3 October...

Pentland Homes is hosting a dedicated Part Exchange event at its Radstone Gate development in Stelling Minnis, near Canterbury on Saturday 3 October, between 10.00am and 4.00pm, by socially-distanced appointments only.

Radstone Gate is a collection of homes providing a modern take on a traditional Kent country home. 18 of the homes are completely unique in style, a rarity for new build developments. Depending on the individual plot, ground floors comprise an open-plan kitchen-living space, or a reception/home-working study and separate kitchen/family room. Additionally, all homes benefit from off-road parking for two vehicles and either a double or single garage, with rear access through the sizeable gardens. Prices at the development of three-, four- and five-bedroom country homes start from £650,000.

Commenting on the benefits of the Part Exchange scheme, Karrina Oki, sales and marketing director at Pentland Homes said: “Part Exchange has become a part of our everyday lives, whether exchanging on a phone or car, however, not many people know you can actually use the scheme to buy a house. The main benefits for buyers are that it helps them get into their new home quicker, takes the stress out of moving, plus there are no estate agent fees.

“If the seller’s current home is eligible, we then instruct two independent appraisals on their property, agree a purchase price and make them a formal offer. Once agreed, we instruct our solicitors to proceed with the purchase and when complete, the seller is then free to move into a Pentland property.

“The property market in Canterbury and its surrounding villages, such as Stelling Minnis, has been buoyant this summer. Families are keen for a change of lifestyle and are looking to upsize and have access to green open spaces. In addition, the Stamp Duty holiday, which could save them up to £15,000 on properties at Radstone Gate, has also had a positive impact on the market.”

Radstone Gate combines the tranquillity of rural life with the proximity to some of the South East’s most attractive and vibrant towns and cities. Canterbury is a 20-minute drive away, the historic cathedral city offering an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops, whilst nearby Ashford Designer Outlet offers further opportunities for retail therapy. The area is also home to some of the UK’s finest restaurants, with a number of Michelin starred pubs and restaurants under a half an hour drive. High Speed rail services to and from London are frequent from Ashford International, Canterbury and Folkestone stations.
