Housebuilder’s First And Last Chances Across The Central Belt

Posted 13 October 2020 by Keith Osborne

Miller Homes has numerous family house types for sale at developments with easy access across the Central Belt...

Miller Homes is currently very active across Scotland’s Central Belt and has a number of early and final opportunities for house-hunters there.

To the east, it has unveiled a new phase of homes at its popular Lady Victoria Grange development in the Midlothian town of Newtongrange. The 33 new homes are some of the company’s most popular four- and five-bedroom styles and are located in a picturesque spot and bordered by mature trees and a scenic river. The development is well located for local amenities and access to central Edinburgh.

One example is the five-bedroom ‘Hargreaves’ with a canopied entrance, Juliet balcony on the front-facing master bedroom and a double garage. The open-plan dining/kitchen area has double doors to the back garden, and there’s a bay-windowed lounge. Upstairs, the master bedroom and bedroom two both have their own en suite and a further family bathroom means the morning routine should run smoothly. Other bedrooms could equally function as a home office, den or even a mini gym. The ‘Hargreaves’ also has a double garage and is priced at £409,995.

The ‘Hughes’ is a four-bedroom home has an open-plan and light-filled layout, a laundry room and integral single garage, and a feature staircase to the four bedrooms upstairs, two of which have private en suites and the bonus of built-in wardrobes in the principle bedroom. This house type is priced at £344,995 and can be reserved for just £99 online. Buyers can also take advantage of a contribution to LBTT and Assisted Move, where Miller Homes helps buyers sell an existing home.

In Dunfermline, there’s a brand new show home now open for viewings by pre-booked appointment at Lapwing Brae, where the current selection of three- and four-bedroom homes start at £198,995.

The four-bedroom ‘Fletcher’ has been brought to life by interior designer, Graeme Fuller with contemporary, on-trend interiors and adaptable layout. There are elements such as a blue accent chair and a coffee table with glamorous gold hardware in the lounge, an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area with a cool, Nordic colour scheme, a principal bedroom sporting a neutral and navy colour palette complete with twin built-in wardrobes and a modern en suite bathroom and a kids’ bedroom complete with pink bedding, a dedicated space for accessories and even a ring light for practising makeup. The fourth bedroom has been styled as a home office.

Lapwing Brae is located on the southern edge of Dunfermline, just a short drive from The Queensferry Crossing, and ideally situated for those commuting to Edinburgh, Dundee and across the Central Belt. Immediate local amenities include a large Tesco and the nearby Fife Leisure Park includes a bowling alley, cinema and gym. Kingsgate Shopping Centre is just a 10-minute drive and is home to a variety of high street shops.

There are only a handful of homes left to buy at the Springhill Meadows development overlooking the town of Barrhead and with views across Glasgow. There are different house types still available. Of them, the four-bedroom ‘Kennaway’, ‘Dale’ and ‘Yeats’ all feature open-plan kitchen/dining/family rooms, separate lounge, multiple en suites, and built-in wardrobes to the principal bedroom. There are individual features to each, such as double or integral single garage, laundry room and dedicated home office. Prices start at £330,000, £299,000 and £320,000 respectively.

There’s access to excellent schools and local amenities, and it’s just a stone’s throw away from the Barrhead Dams, a popular spot for walking and outdoor swimming. It’s just a short drive from the M77, meaning both Glasgow, East Kilbride and Ayrshire can be reached with ease. Barrhead also benefits from a train station and regular buses to the city and beyond.
