McCarthy Stone is hosting Fizz Friday events in Dorchester and Bishopdown over the next couple of weeks...

Retirement property specialist and frequent WhatHouse? Award winner McCarthy Stone is inviting locals to special events at two of its developments in the South West of England over the next couple of weeks.

In Dorchester, one of the Fizz Friday events is taking place at its Casterbridge Court Retirement development on Friday 11 November. From 2.00pm to 4.00pm, all are welcome to join the McCarthy Stone team and homeowners in the development on London Road, where guests can enjoy a glass of fizz and a range of light refreshments. There will also be the opportunity to take a tour of Casterbridge Court to explore the apartments and impressive communal spaces.

Nicki Beswarick, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone Southern, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting a Fizz Friday event at our Casterbridge Court development. These events are a great opportunity for local people to come and experience first-hand the fun and sociable lifestyle that comes as part of a brand new McCarthy Stone apartment.”

The Casterbridge Court Retirement Living development has been exclusively designed for an independent lifestyle for the over-60s. Featuring landscaped gardens and a courtyard area, and a hotel-style guest suite which offers a home for family and friends, Casterbridge Court provides an ideal downsizing option for retirees and features. For those who want to purchase outright, prices start from £270,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £380,000 for a two-bedroom. To make moving even easier and provide further flexibility, McCarthy Stone also offers a range of purchasing options for retirees, including rental and part-buy, part-rent.

Another Fizz Friday Event takes place at Monument Place Retirement Plus development in Bishopdown on Friday 18 November, also from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.

Nicki Beswarick, said: “Here at McCarthy Stone, we want our homeowners to continue living life to the full and stay as independent and active for as long as possible. So, we would like to invite all those interested to come to our Fizz Friday event for a chat, a glass of fizz and some nibbles, and to meet those who already call Monument Place home. After all, they’ll tell you everything you could need to know!”

Monument Place is situated adjacent to the Castle Gate Retirement Living development to offer two exclusive options to suit all stages of retirement. The Monument Place Retirement Living Plus development has been designed for retirees aged-70 and over, while Castle Gate has been exclusively designed for those aged 60 and over.

Monument Place includes communal lounge and gardens, and a guest suite, but with the added peace-of-mind that a little extra help is on hand if needed in the form of personally tailored domestic support, with specially trained staff on-site 24 hours a day.

At Monument Place, one- and two-bedroom apartments are currently priced from £277,000 and £400,000 respectively. Rental and part-buy part-rent options also available to make moving even easier. There is just one one-bedroom apartment remaining at Caste Gate, which is priced at £300,000.
