Christmas Open Week At Dorchester Retirement Development

Posted 28 November 2022 by Keith Osborne

McCarthy Stone hosts a Yuletide-themed event this week for visitors and residents at Casterbridge Court...

McCarthy Stone is helping to bring the community together and get into the Yuletide spirit this festive season, as part of a special Christmas Open Week at the Casterbridge Court Retirement Living development.

The Casterbridge Court Retirement Living development has been exclusively designed for an independent lifestyle for the over-60s. Featuring landscaped gardens and a courtyard area, as well as a hotel-style guest suite, which is an ideal place for family or friends to stay when they come and visit, Casterbridge Court provides an ideal downsizing option for retirees and features.

The free event will take place between Tuesday 29 November and Friday 2 December and will see visitors treated to mouth-watering mince pies and a warming glass or two of mulled wine while socialising with homeowners. What’s more, all attendees throughout the week can take the opportunity to choose one of the baubles from the Christmas tree to win one of three special prizes – either a festive hamper, a bottle of wine or a Christmas pudding – and everyone is a winner!

To add to the atmosphere, the choir from local Dorchester school, Sunninghill Prep School, will also entertain attendees on Friday 2 December by performing a variety of traditional carols and other festive favourites for the enjoyment of all.

Places at the event are limited so guests are strongly encouraged to book in advance by calling 0800 153307.

Nicki Beswarick, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone Southern, commented: “Christmas is the season for bringing everyone together, which is why we’re proud to host our Christmas event for the community here at Casterbridge Court. We can’t wait to welcome local retirees and their families to join us and raise a glass to celebrate the festive season.”

For those who want to purchase outright, prices start from £270,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £380,000 for a two-bedroom. To make moving even easier and provide further flexibility, McCarthy Stone also offers a range of purchasing options for retirees, including rental and part-buy, part-rent.
