Helen ChristieWhatHouse? Award-winning developer Lovell Homes is encouraging Newport property seekers to explore the show homes at its sought-after Royal Victoria Court and Locke Gardens developments, and to be inspired by the interior design choices on display.
Royal Victoria Court is located off Cardiff Road, and consists of a stunning range of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses and one- and two-bedroom apartments.
Locke Gardens is comprised of a stylish collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, at Glan Llyn, Llanwern, Newport.
The show homes at both developments were designed by Sunrise Interiors, who have years of expertise in high-end interior design.
The four-bedroom Redbourne style home can be found at Royal Victoria Court and was designed to be stylish and effortlessly modern. Claire Gillard, director at Sunrise Interiors, says: “We chose one of the top trending colour schemes for this home and used rich, coral pinks, contrasted with a charcoal grey, soft silver and warm antique brass accents. The showstopper is the large, comfy corner sofa in the lounge, with plenty of room for all the family. My inspiration for the whole house came from the beautiful, embroidered chevron fabric we used for the cushions in this room.”

The three-bedroom Lambourne, on the other hand, was designed around fun and entertaining. Claire says: “We had real fun with the Lambourne. I pictured a sociable, adventure-seeking couple enjoying life in and around Newport, and created my designs with them in mind. We kept most of the walls a light-reflecting white with some fabulous, graphic abstract wallpaper to add pattern and personality. In the kitchen, an uber trendy feature light with industrial filament bulbs hangs low over the concrete effect table, which is surrounded by a gallery wall featuring black and white photographs of well-known local landmarks, family and friends.”

Over at Locke Gardens is the four-bedroom Roseberry, which was designed to be a comfortable family home. Claire says: “There’s a calm and elegant main bedroom, a guest room, fun vehicle-themed bunk room for a child, plus a home office space in the fourth bedroom. We chose soft, teal blues and bronzes throughout the house, with a rich bronze for the velvety lounge upholstery and nature-inspired tree and leaf motifs in the feature wallpapers in the dining area and main bedroom.”

The three-bedroom Lansdown was also imagined for a family, but one that prefers modern and trendy over classic and traditional. Claire adds: “The Lansdown is a Skandi-inspired home. We used inky blues, soft grey geometric woven fabrics and natural textures such as wool, felt and bleached oak furniture, offset with trendy, black-framed mirrors and cool, abstract art. In the garden is the added luxury of a secluded home office and yoga studio, perfect for work or relaxation, complete with a large desk, shelving for storage and a yoga mat.”

Suzie Hewitt, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, says: “Each of the showhomes at Royal Victoria Court and Locke Gardens are beautifully designed, and the diversity of styles on display shows just how easy it is to make a Lovell home fit your own unique style and tastes. We have worked with Sunrise Interiors previously and they always deliver wonderful work that showcases what each style of home has to offer. We would highly encourage anyone who is looking for a property in the area to get in touch as soon as possible to avoid missing out on an amazing home.”
