Four-Bedroom Homes With Current Help To Buy In Merthyr

Posted 3 February 2021 by Keith Osborne

There are still homes available now on the old government scheme that won't qualify for the new scheme from 1 April 2021...

Lovell Homes is encouraging property seekers in South Wales to enquire about the final four-bedroom homes at its popular Ymyl Yr Afon development, which are available to purchase using the current Government-backed Help to Buy Wales: Equity Loan scheme.

Located between Merthyr Vale and Aberfan, Ymyl Yr Afon (translating to “river’s edge” in English) is a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes. All of the properties at this development have now been released for sale, meaning this is the last chance for buyers to make a move here.

The four-bedroom homes can be purchased with just a 5% deposit using the current Help to Buy Wales scheme, with reservations made before 31 March 2021 (subject to terms and conditions). The remaining amount is made up from a 75% mortgage and a 20% equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years.

The new Help to Buy Wales scheme will be launched on 1 April 2021 and is currently set to run until March 2022. The new scheme is only available to first-time buyers and on homes with a purchase price under £250,000, meaning those looking to purchase a larger home may no longer be eligible.

Ymyl Yr AfonAvailable to purchase now at Ymyl Yr Afon using the Help to Buy Wales scheme are the four-bedroom ‘Gaskell’, ‘Hardy’ and ‘Larkin’ style homes, priced from £265,995, £263,995 and £254,995 respectively.

These detached homes are perfect for growing families, offering modern and flexible living. Each property benefits from a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining room with integrated appliances and French doors leading out onto the enclosed rear garden. A generous separate living room, cloakroom, utility area and storage cupboards complete the ground floor, providing plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy. Upstairs are four spacious bedrooms, a family bathroom and additional storage cupboard, with bedroom one boasting a private en suite for an additional luxurious feel. All three style properties also benefit from a garage and allocated parking, with an integral garage featured in the ‘Larkin’ style home.

Current availability at the development includes three-bedroom homes priced from £209,995 and four-bedroom homes priced from £254,995.

The marketing suite at Ymyl Yr Afon is currently closed in line with government guidance and the show homes are open by appointment only, from 10.00am to 5.00pm seven days a week.
