Proximity To National Park Celebrated At Ripon Scheme

Posted 23 April 2021 by Keith Osborne

Harron Homes is working with Ripon City Camera Club to show house-hunters the superb landscape on the doorstep...

Harron Homes has found that being located in Ripon, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is a real plus to homebuyers at its Bishop’s Glade development and the housebuilder is keen to celebrate this and the importance of protecting treasured natural space.

Bishop’s Glade is a collection of four- and five-bedroom with schools rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted nearby, so the development has proven especially popular with families, with 70% of properties already sold. Between them, the selection of high-specification detached houses currently for sale offer a range of notable features, such as integral garages, dedicated studies and dressing areas to the master bedrooms.

Harron Homes has collaborated with Ripon City Camera Club to share the most picturesque spots in both the market town and of the Dales in order to celebrate National Parks Fortnight. As part of the celebrations and commitment to preserving the natural environment, Harron has also donated £200 to the Three Peaks Project, which ensures the trails are maintained and natural beauty of the area conserved for future generations. This follows a series of contributions to environmental charities over the last year including Butterfly Conservation and Songbird Survival.

The camera club submitted a mixture of pictures encapsulating the area, from man-made artifacts like the famous cathedral, to stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales which lies just three miles from the luxury homes at Bishop’s Glade in Ripon.

To thank the club for their role in highlighting the area, Harron has donated a projector screen to the village hall, enabling them to host photography presentation evenings when possible. Selected submissions have been put on display at Bishop’s Glade, and the full gallery can be viewed on the housebuilder’s website, www.harronhomes.com.

Alison Taylor-Shaw, sales and marketing director for Harron Homes Yorkshire said: “Location is key when buying a house, and we’re incredibly proud of our handpicked locations across Yorkshire which boast stunning views in gorgeous towns and villages. It has been wonderful to celebrate Ripon and its surroundings with the people who know it best, and we’re glad we’re able to share these images with a wider audience!

“We recognise the importance of preserving these parks for years to come and so are happy to donate to such a valuable cause.”

Suzanne Lamb of Ripon City Photography Society added: “This was a fantastic opportunity to combine our passion for photography with our amazing home area and it’s lovely to have our skills recognised and to share our hard work with the world!

“We’re grateful for Harron’s donation of a screen to our community hall which means we can continue sharing our photos with the local people in the future.”

Prices at Bishop’s Glade currently range from £418,995 to £529,995. The site is open to visits by appointment only, from Thursday to Monday, 10.30am to 5.30pm. Strict safety measures and social distancing rules are in place.
