Three penthouses at a popular conversion development in Bristol have just been released for sale by partners Galliard Homes and Acorn Property Group.

These new homes, part of Brandon Yard, a £15 million transformation of a former Victorian gasworks, offer spectacular views across Bristol Harbour towards Brunel’s SS Great Britain, which itself has been carefully restored and is now a museum and Bristol’s most popular tourist attraction.

Each of the penthouses in the New Retort House building has three bedrooms and a spacious open-plan kitchen/living area, with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the views of the harbour. The specification includes a gloss Leicht kitchen with integrated Bosch appliances, and efficient and space-saving underfloor heating. Each also has a private terrace and an allocated underground parking space.

The dressed penthouse has interior design by WN Interiors, with a mixture of sleek modern furniture and individual pieces sourced locally, to embody the vibrant Bristol lifestyle. The kitchen has tonal blue tiling, with white handle-less cupboards for a sleek aesthetic. The master bedroom is dressed with a colour palette of grey, yellow and black, with access directly onto the wrap-around terrace, and a contemporary en suite bathroom. There is also a virtual tour available, and the chance to conduct a personal online tour with a member of the sales team, very much like a site visit but from the comfort of home.

Brandon Yard is situated on the former Victorian gasworks once known as the Canon’s Marsh Gasworks. A magnificently restored Victorian brick chimney remains on the site, an iconic reminder of the site’s rich heritage.

It occupies the last available position on the northern section of Bristol’s Harbourside and represents the conclusion of the massive regeneration programme that has been transforming Bristol’s historic docks over the last 40 years. Residents can also enjoy a courtyard designed by award-winning landscape artist Matthew Wigan with feature plants, lawn areas and communal furniture including benches and a large picnic table.

Brandon YardRobin Squire, regional managing director at Acorn Property Group’s Bristol office, commented: “The release of the penthouse collection has been highly anticipated, and the new virtual tour enables interested buyers to view the show penthouse and experience the lifestyle on offer.”

David Galman, sales director at Galliard Homes, added: “Our redevelopment of a historic Victorian gasworks into contemporary homes has proven very popular with buyers, with over 90% of the homes at Brandon Yard sold and the first residents enjoying their homes.”

The penthouse collection has been released at Brandon Yard, with prices starting from £825,000. Find out more about Brandon Yard from Acorn Property Group and Galliard Homes.
