Next Phase To Open Soon At Godmanchester Scheme

Keith OsborneDavid Wilson Homes will be offering Cambridgeshire homebuyers another chance to join the established community at its Romans’ Edge development in Godmanchester with the announcement that they will soon be launching properties on the third phase there.
Located on Bearscroft Lane, a range of three-, four- and fiv- bedroom homes will be released that are ideal for a variety of house-hunters, including first-time buyers looking to make the step on to the property ladder, and growing families looking for more space.
As part of the development, archaeologists excavated the site before works began. During the dig, artefacts from the Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon times have were found, including a single Anglo-Saxon sunken-featured building with a rare and exciting copper hairpin of possible Anglo-Scandinavian style.
With the 457-home development having launched more than four years ago, a welcoming community awaits those looking to secure a slice of peaceful living at Romans’ Edge.
Jason Hearn, sales director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “We’re very excited to launch a new phase at Romans’ Edge and know that the range of houses coming to the development will attract a wide variety of buyers. The development has already established itself as an excellent community, and we’re so excited to continue watching it grow.”
Perched on the south bank of the River Great Ouse, the development is just over two miles away from the larger town of Huntingdon. With excellent road connections, Cambridge and Peterborough can both be reached in under half an hour via the A14 and A1. Public transport also ensures that residents can reach Peterborough in around 45 minutes and Cambridge in just over an hour.
The current four-bedroom homes here start at £367,995.
