Keith OsborneDavid Wilson Homes is inviting house-hunters to its development in Newark this weekend, to find out more about the financial assistance available to get them onto the property ladder.
The developer is opening its doors to first-time buyers and those who wish to find out more about the government-backed Help to Buy scheme at Fernwood Village, off Dale Way, as part of a special appointment-only event with professional advice.
Taking place from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 February, the event will have a mortgage adviser present on site alongside the David Wilson Homes sales team to provide expert tips to prospective homebuyers and answer any questions.
Rachael Harrison, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “At David Wilson Homes, we aim to support house-hunters and the local community however we can, and that’s why we are delighted to be launching an event to inform Newark homebuyers about the extremely beneficial Help to Buy scheme.
Help to Buy allows smaller deposits to improve buyers’ chances of securing a mortgage and take the first step on the property ladder. The scheme requires a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% being provided in the form of an equity loan from the government which is interest-free for the first five years of homeownership.
Harrison added: “We hope that by highlighting the benefits of the Help to Buy scheme, our event will assist even more people to achieve their aspiration of progressing onto the property ladder.”
During the event, visitors will also be able to see the high-quality selection of homes available at Fernwood Village, along with its excellent location – just a few miles away from the thriving town centre, with a fantastic range of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. The current range of three- and four-bedroom homes for sale here start at £235,995.
