First Residents Now At Home At Irthlingborough Scheme

Posted 4 January 2021 by Keith Osborne

A brand new community is beginning to take shape at a development on the eastern edge of the Northamptonshire town...

The first residents are settling into their homes at Diamond Heights, a collection of 88 new houses being built by Davidson Homes on land off Attley Way in Irthlingborough. Buyers have moved in to 12 of the homes since the first properties were completed in September.

As well as providing a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses for sale, Diamond Heights will also include a large area of public open space with balancing ponds and a children’s playground.

Simon Tyler, sales director at Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “Following our successful launch in September, we have been inundated with enquiries from eager house-hunters and are expecting to have 18 homes occupied before the end of the year.

“The development is proving particularly popular with buyers from nearby Rushden and Higham Ferrers, thanks in part to the site’s location next to Stanwick Lakes and its close proximity to both the A6 and A45.

“Our range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes means that Diamond Heights offers something for almost every type of buyer, and the abundance of green open space which we are going to be creating within the site will make this an extremely attractive and desirable place to live.

“The funding we are providing as part of the planning agreement represents a significant investment in the local area and forms part of our commitment to creating a sustainable new neighbourhood which will make a positive contribution to the growth of the town.”

As part of the planning agreement for the development, Davidsons Homes will be contributing almost £900,000 for local services, including schools, public transport, healthcare and libraries. The large area of public open space and children’s playground will be situated to the east of the new homes, while a new 1km dog walking route will be created to run in parallel to the Nene Way bridleway to the south of the site.

A selection of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses are currently available at Diamond Heights, with prices currently starting from £259,995.
