Don’t Chase Cheese, Chase Your New Home Dream!

Posted 8 January 2021 by Keith Osborne

Bellway has opened two show homes in a part of the world renowned for its annual downhill Cheese-Rolling and Wake event...

Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire is home to an annual cheese rolling competition, where contestants race downhill at break-neck speed pursuing a Double Gloucester. But the neighbouring village of Brockworth has a new, and potentially more life-changing attraction – two show homes to visit at a Bellway housing development.

Millbrook Grove features a range of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes for sale in a convenient location just five miles east of Gloucester and seven miles south-west of Cheltenham.

The three-bedroom ‘Mason’ and four-bedroom ‘Weaver’ show homes are open for appointment-only viewings in line with coronavirus guidelines. Both house types are part of Bellway’s Artisan Collection, a new range of house types which combine traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail with modern construction techniques.

Daniel Shone, sales manager for Bellway Wales, said: “The ‘Mason’ and ‘Weaver’ are among the three- and four-bedroom Artisan house types currently available to buy at Millbrook Grove, so this is a great opportunity for buyers interested in these particular designs to see the layouts for themselves.”

The attractive three-bedroom detached ‘Mason’ features an L-shaped open-plan kitchen, dining and family area measuring 18ft by 14ft, a separate living room measuring 12ft by 11ft, a downstairs cloakroom and plenty of storage space. Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms, with an en suite to bedroom one, and a family bathroom. Prices for the ‘Mason’ house type currently start from £322,995.

The luxurious ‘Weaver’ is a four-bedroom detached property which has a huge L-shaped kitchen, dining and family space with a utility room, extending from the front to the back of the house. The separate dual-aspect living room is 20ft long, and there’s also a downstairs cloakroom and storage cupboards. On the first floor are four double bedrooms and a family bathroom. Two bedrooms have en suites, while bedroom one also has a dressing area. Homes in the ‘Weaver’ design are currently priced from £487,995.

Located off Mill Road at the north-eastern edge of the village, Millbrook Grove forms part of the wider Perrybrook scheme which will see 1,500 new homes being built in this part of Gloucestershire.

Bellway is building 135 homes at Millbrook Grove, comprising 99 for private sale and 36 to be provided as affordable housing for rent or Shared Ownership.

A range of three- and four-bedroom houses are currently available, with prices starting from £269,995.
