Barratt Developments, the former WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year which offers new build properties under the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has some major deals on contributions to buyer deposits at numerous developments across the West Midlands region.
For a limited time, the offers are available on a range of house types that will appeal to all sorts of buyers, from those purchasing a first home to older buyers downsizing to a smaller, low maintenance brand new house or apartment.
Here are just some of the current offers on Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes developments in the West Midlands regions.
Staffordshire
Deer’s Rise in Hednesford currently offers three- and four-bedroom houses with starting prices ranging from £269,995 to £429,995. Alongside the more formal Deposit Unlock scheme on some homes, there’s a special £5,000 deposit contribution on Plot 81, the four-bedroom ‘Kingsley’ which is priced from £359,995, which includes an upgraded kitchen and integrated appliances. This detached house has kitchen/dining room and separate lounge, three double bedrooms (one en suite) and a single bedroom, and will be ready to move into this summer.
The ‘Hale’ house type
Dunstall Park is located in Tamworth and there are currently two-, three- and four-bedroom house types available, starting at £226,995. Schemes such as Deposit Unlock and Movemaker are offered on selected plots here but right now there’s a special deal on the ‘Hale’, a detached home with integral single garage on Plot 410 priced from £415,995 including an upgraded kitchen. There is a limited-time extra of an £8,000 deposit contribution from Barratt Homes.
Situated in Lichfield, Fradley Manor will feature a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes when complete. Current availability starts at £339,995. The ‘Kingville’ is a three-storey four-bedroom home which right now has a £5,000 deposit contribution offer, and from £424,995, the ‘Hale’ includes upgraded kitchen and comes with an impressive £15,000 contribution. Poppy Fields in Uttoxeter offers two-, three- and four-bedroom homes with starting prices from £224,995 to £322,995, several of which have special offers at the moment. The ‘Lutterworth’ is a notable example with an unusual floor plan and an offer of some £10,000 towards the deposit from Barratt Homes. This detached corner property comes with single garage, a dual-aspect lounge and three bedrooms, on with en suite. The ‘Radleigh’ house type
Warwickshire
In Bishops Itchington is Bishop’s Hill, a development with both apartments and houses for sale right now. Prices start at £190,000 for David Wilson Homes current Home of the Month here, a ground-floor one-bedroom apartment called the ‘Harbury’. Until 30 April 2022, this property comes with a 5% deposit boost which means that through Help to Buy, first-times only need to put down £9,500. It comes with open-plan kitchen/living/dining room.
Aston Grange is in Lighthorne Heath, close to the village of Gaydon and off the M40 just south of Leamington Spa. Currently available are two-, three- and four-bedroom homes priced from £269,995. A number of the current properties for sale come with a deposit contribution deal but the stand-out offer is on the four-bedroom ‘Radleigh’, priced at £492,995, which Barratt Homes will pay some £20,000 towards it. Ready to move into, this home also comes with a number of upgrades. Each bedroom is a double and there’s also a dedicated study.
The Moorings is a canalside development in Hillmorton, just to the east of Rugby. Three- and four-bedroom homes here currently start at £358,995. The ‘Cannington’ is a mid-terrace townhouse which offers £5,000 deposit contribution and comes with upgraded kitchen and flooring. There are three bedrooms (one en suite) but the study might also function as a fourth, or a nursery. The family/dining room as a feature glazed bay with French doors.
Berrington Place
Birmingham
B5 Central has been a very popular development close to the city centre and it is 95% sold now, but still has a variety of property types to appeal to buyers and investors. One- and two-bedroom apartments are complemented by a number of four-bedroom house types. The best deal right now is on a high-specification two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in the Atwood House block which is priced at £265,000 and ready to move into. The current 5% deposit boost offer equates to a saving of £13,250. Both bedrooms are doubles, there’s a dual-aspect kitchen/living/dining room, fitted wardrobes to bedroom one and lots of useful storage off the hallway.
In the Highgate district, Berrington Place has a range of two-bedroom apartments for sale, some of which are new releases and some of which have an offer of £10,000 towards the deposit from Barratt Homes. One example is a first-floor unit priced at £228,000, so first-timers can also ask about Help to Buy. There’s a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/living room, two double bedrooms, family bathroom and off-hallway storage.
