Barratt Developments – a former WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year which offers new under the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands – has announced a number of launches and final availability at a number of its sites across the East of England region.
Barratt Homes recently launched the latest phase at its Willow Grove development in Wixams, Bedfordshire. This will be bringing a range of 56 three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, meaning a range of property seekers will be catered for. Situated within idyllic Bedfordshire countryside and on a country park, the Southern Cross development offers its residents the best of both worlds. There is a wide range of fantastic facilities on the development, including a local Budgens, both a primary and a secondary school and nursery whilst being just a stone’s throw from Bedford town centre. Prices start at £401,995.
For Essex house-hunters, David Wilson Homes has just launched two show homes at its new Mortimer Place development in Hatfield Peverel, which is delivering a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties. The three-bedroom ‘Hadley’ and a four-bedroom ‘Holden’ are now available for prospective buyers to tour. These new homes are within walking distance of Hatfield Peverel train station, within easy reach of the A12, and there are a number of schools in the area rated ’Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The current range of four-bedroom homes start at £659,995.
Barratt Homes at Linmere
Back in Bedfordshire, there are now a limited number of properties available with the Help to Buy scheme at Barratt Homes at Linmere. First-time buyers can consider one- and two-bedroom apartments (from £220,000 and £274,500 respectively) that will require a 5% deposit and provide a 20% equity loan, meaning the buyer needs a mortgage of just 75% of the price. Both apartment types have an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room and come with allocated parking, and the two-bedroom ones have an en suite and a bathroom.
In Norfolk, residents who have moved into David Wilson Homes’ Kingfisher Meadow development in Horsford have expressed collective praise for the homebuilder. Each new household surveyed said they would recommend the housebuilder to a friend, based on a range of factors including the quality of the properties, plus the before and after sales service. Residents at the development have given the new homes site a perfect score of 100%. Kingfisher Meadow will comprise two-, three- and four-bedroom homes adjacent to peaceful woodland six miles north of Norwich. Prices start at £521,995 and there is a new range of three- and four-bedroom property types coming soon.
