Helen ChristieKey workers in Hampshire can now receive a deposit contribution of up to £15,000 towards a new home thanks to a special new scheme from WhatHouse? Award-winning developers, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.
The leading housebuilders have introduced the Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme at their developments across the region to say a thank you for the workers’ enormous contribution to the country.
Key workers will be entitled to a deposit contribution of £750 for every £25,000 spent and can receive up to the value of £15,000. So, for example, when purchasing a £300,000 home, Barratt and David Wilson Homes would contribute £9,000 towards the deposit.
The new scheme is on offer to NHS workers, teachers, police and fire services, the MOD, prison and probation services, plus Local Authority employees and Highways England.
Tammy Bishop, Barratt and David Wilson Homes sales director, Southampton Division, says: “Since the start of the pandemic we have been running a NHS Deposit Contribution scheme, but now we want to open this up to every key worker in the country as a thank you for their amazing work. It’s a pleasure to be able to offer our help.”
Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes are currently selling a variety of properties at Harbour Place in Bedhampton, Saxon Corner in Emsworth and Forest Walk in Whiteley.
