Posted 2 December 2021 by Keith Osborne

John Anderson of Allison Homes has officially launched the show houses at the housebuilder's Harriers Rest development...

House-hunters are being invited to explore two brand-new show homes, which have now been unveiled at a popular new housing development in Wittering.

Bourne-based Allison Homes is building a high-quality collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom open market homes at Harriers Rest, off Lawrence Road.

Group chief executive officer of Allison Homes, John Anderson was present on the day to cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the new show homes. Visitors who book an appointment with Allison Homes’ sales team can now explore the four-bedroom ‘Redbourne’ and the three-bedroom ‘Normanby’ home styles to give themselves an idea of what life could be like at the development.

At Harriers Rest, Allison Homes is providing a total of 133 homes for private sale, alongside 57 properties for affordable rent and Shared Ownership. Since the development’s official launch in January 2021, a total of 28 homes have been sold, with the first residents now settled into their new homes.

As part of the planning agreement for Harriers Rest, Allison Homes is also injecting more than £1.2million into local community facilities and infrastructure. Upon completion, the development will also feature two access roads, and two public open space areas together with a larger open space area adjacent to the A1.

Samantha Hart, sales and marketing director at Allison Homes, said: “We are very pleased to have launched two excellent new show homes at Harriers Rest, which will give house-hunters an idea of the excellent quality homes we have available for those seeking an enviable country village lifestyle.

“This development follows the exciting announcement of our rebranding, and is the first Allison Homes development with this new adventure in mind, reflecting our growth plans and investment in the future of development through innovation and sustainable building methods.

“We would like to give a huge thank you to the local community for their patience as we continue our work to create a beneficial new community, helping more people in the area find the right home for them.”

Forward-thinking and modern, the homes at Harriers Rest are designed with growing families, working professionals and downsizers in mind.

The village of Wittering offers a whole range of local amenities and facilities, including a convenience store, country pub, and a fish and chip shop. It’s also a village with great character, featuring picturesque surroundings alongside a village hall, bowling green, and historic grade I listed church. Wittering Primary School, which is rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is also just a short walk away.

Commuters can find the A1 on their doorstep, which is the longest numbered road in the UK, and stretches across 410 miles connecting to both London and Edinburgh. Peterborough and Stamford are also nearby, offering key rail links to major cities such as London, Leicester, Cambridge and Birmingham.
