Many Opportunities For Homebuyers In Essex

There's a busy new homes market in Essex, with plenty of developments for buyers to consider across the county...

Right now, Essex house-hunters have an abundance of possibilities in the new homes market, with housebuilders working hard to meet demand with a real variety of homes to suit different purchasers’ requirements.

Weston Homes recently unveiled an impressive entrance lobby and three show apartments at its flagship scheme in Southend-on-Sea, Victoria Central, which is aiming to bring some London glamour to the town. The striking Victoria Central foyer which has a two-storey glass façade flooding the spacious room with vast amounts of natural light. Victoria Central is providing 217 contemporary apartments in a central location just moments from Southend Victoria station. Following the successful off-plan launch, it is already over 40% sold ahead of completing in 2023.

Victoria CentralThe three show apartments have been designed by interior specialists Haus at Victoria Central and have been dressed to appeal to any age group, the palette and décor subtly take reference from the development’s location in Southend-on-Sea with colours of candy floss pink and navy hues throughout. They range in size from 542 sq ft for the one-bedroom apartment, and 761 sq ft and 951 sq ft for the two-bedroom apartments. All three apartments offer a main bedroom with an en suite and open-plan kitchen/living/dining room, whilst the two bedroom apartments also offer a guest bedroom and family bathroom.

There are more new show homes to view in Maldon, courtesy of Crest Nicholson at its Wycke Place development. The are the four-bedroom ‘Romsey’ and ‘Keswick’ houses which have been expertly dressed by interior designers Killer5, whose design director Rebecca Charles said of the ‘Romsey’: “We wanted to create a contemporary style with a glamorous edge throughout the house to reflect the sophisticated vibe of the local area. We also utilised lots of different textures in the fabrics and finishes to give the open living space an elegant feel.”

Located on the southern edge of Maldon, the development comprises a collection of 74 one-, two-, three- and four bedroom homes offering a high specification and spacious open-plan layouts. A selection of them are available through schemes such as the government backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan and the housebuilder’s own Part Exchange initiative.

The Warley HQ development is a conversion of the former headquarters of the Ford Motor Company and Hamptons International is marketing this collection of 330 luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments on behalf of developer Land Charter. The conversion will span across seven floors and include luxury penthouses, each finished to a high specification. All apartments come with a parking space. The first completion are due this spring.

Warley HQA house manager is on hand for the residents’ convenience and will be able to assist with everything from organising residents events, to reserving a meeting room for business or the dining room for pleasure. The Trattoria café will serve fresh coffee and food and there is even an app to pre-order meals. There will be a range of flexible workspaces, from hot desks to meeting rooms and high-speed internet. Case study: Dacre and Daria

Dacre Pell (31), a relationship director at Santander, and his partner Daria moved into their new home at Countryside’s Meadow Rise just in time for Christmas,

He began his property search having recently put his home in Great Notley – also a Countryside property – on the market.
