Show Home Room By Room: Pembers Hill Park, Fair Oak

Pembers Hill Park is a collection of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and houses in the Hampshire village of Fair Oak, where a new phase of two-bedroom houses and apartments has just launched. Showcasing the properties on offer, Radian Homes – part of the Abri Group – has unveiled a new show home, viewable for the first time this month.

Designed by Clayton & Company, the interiors of the show home have been designed with young families in mind. Eliza Gray from Clayton & Company explains that they “have created an aspirational but achievable home, demonstrating how a young family could use the space, in an aesthetically pleasing way. This will help potential customers to imagine living in their new home.”

Gray describes the overall vision as being “fresh and airy”, using “contemporary furniture, papers and fabrics – a look that can be emulated by our potential customers using some of their favourite retailers.”

The living room has been divided into two distinct zones – a seated area and a dining area. The clever use of integrated storage means that the dining section leaves enough room for a generous and comfortable lounge, which is subtly delineated by the use of a rug and contemporary wallpaper. Gray particularly highlights the dining chairs, discussing how they are both “practical and modern looking, with a nod to the classic ‘Wishbone’ chair.”

The kitchen, as the heart of the home, has been designed as an attractive, family-friendly room. Gray says: “the styling in this room reflects how a modern family lives, while remaining stylish and practical. We have included a breakfast bar area and seating, for those busy mornings when you don’t have time to settle down at the dining table. A soft sage green feature wall colour sets off the accessories which have been chosen to complement the wooden bar stools tucked under the breakfast bar.”

Upstairs, Clayton & Company has created three distinct bedroom styles to show different uses, utilising the large second bedroom as a guest suite. Gray says: “The principal bedroom complements the neutral fresh style of the show home but adds a little touch of luxury through the inclusion of a wide velvet headboard. Tactile, luxurious cushion fabrics add to the sumptuous feel, providing a grown-up place to relax in a busy household.”

“The guest bedroom uses natural materials to give a more laid-back style. The leather-look headboard gives a quirky focal point to the room, while full use of the space is made with a wardrobe and full-length mirror. The feature paint compliments the colour scheme in the house, and gives a great backdrop to the rattan wall art.”

“The third bedroom has been created with a young child in mind. From the pandas on the wall, through to the themed accessories, attention to detail means we have created a fun room for the youngest member of the family. The inclusion of a wardrobe also demonstrates that the smallest room is big enough to include storage for a growing family.
