New Show Home Opens In Sought-After Silsoe

Gemma Schofield of Lifestyle Interiors takes us around the three-bedroom ‘Hatton’ at Hayfield Place in Silsoe...

Hayfield, WhatHouse? Best Small Housebuilder for 2019, has unveiled a highly aspirational three-bedroom ‘Hatton’ show home at its largest development – Hayfield Place in the Bedfordshire village of Silsoe.

The London townhouse-inspired interiors have been designed to illustrate how luxurious, bespoke-made pieces can make a new home as ‘Pinterest-worthy’ as a boutique hotel.

The interior is the brainchild of Gemma Schofield, director of Lifestyle Interiors. She commented: “The ‘Hatton’ provides beautiful internal space and an integral garage. This is the most luxurious three-bedroom show home I have seen and I’m so proud we’ve had the opportunity to illustrate how strong styling, bespoke furniture and a highly sophisticated colour palette can be used in smaller family homes.

Hayfield PlaceHayfield Place“The kitchen/diner incorporates well thought-out features such as ceiling-high cupboards for a sleek look and additional storage, as well as a centre island for food preparation, which doubles up as a breakfast bar. Sumptuous blue velvet chairs and statement lighting create a stunning and inviting setting to enjoy every mealtime.

Hayfield Place“The living room is the perfect place to entertain, with double doors leading out onto the enclosed garden. The styling has been inspired by a laid-back members’ lounge with lots of texture, art deco inspired furniture and shades of grey, taupe and smoky navy.

Hayfield PlaceHayfield Place“The upstairs of the ‘Hatton’ has a natural wow factor, with three large bedrooms and hotel-style bathrooms. The first bedroom features a superking bed with bespoke wall panelling, complemented by taupe, grey and white fabrics and furniture.

Hayfield Place“A similar colour palette is used in bedroom two, where a beautiful oversized headboard takes centre stage.

Hayfield Place“To show how versatile bedroom three could be, we have dressed two single beds with feminine pastel shades, but also included a large dresser, which could be alternated for a home office set up.”

Hayfield Place is located off Silsoe High Street, close to Grade I listed Wrest Park. The 14-acre site will deliver 105 two-, three-, four and five-bedroom bungalows and family homes. Reflecting local architectural styles, these new homes of 14 different house types are being constructed in red and buff brick and render. Inside, specification features vary dependent on the house design, but among them are underfloor heating, bespoke kitchens with Bosch appliances, designer Laufen bathrooms, Minoli ceramic tiles, Hammonds fitted wardrobes, Farrow & Ball paint, heritage bronze door furniture and bi-fold doors.

New public footpaths, a balancing pond, a biodiversity corridor that will run across the site, and a new section of bridleway and cycle route are all being created to connect Hayfield Place into the local Bedfordshire footpath network.

Silsoe itself has a range of amenities, high-quality schooling and recreation facilities. The nearby towns of Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedford offer a wealth of shopping, restaurants, entertainment and sporting facilities. Luton airport is 12 miles away, and Flitwick’s railway station is four miles away.

This development is open seven days a week, from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Prices for the current release start from £465,000.
