David Wilson Homes has officially launched its new 150-property development Little Stanneylands in Wilmslow, Cheshire, with two show stopping show homes designed by Cheshire-based interiors specialists Lifestyle Interiors.

Gemma Schofield, managing director of Lifestyle Interiors, explains how the uniqueness of their fit out is helping to serve as a reminder for busy buyers viewing multiple properties and to help market the new scheme. “David Wilson Homes’ brief was simple - ‘Dare To Be Different’ – and so we’ve introduced some fun truly unique and highly memorable elements to showcase these new properties, incorporating current interior trends and local themes."

WhatHouse? has taken a tour of the four-bedroom Bradgate house, a family home ideal for modern living. A light and spacious lounge with a bay window provides a great space for all the family, while an open plan kitchen offers dining and family areas with walk in bay and French doors that open onto the rear garden. The first floor comprises of a master bedroom with en-suite shower room, three further double bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Little Stanneylands (David Wilson Homes)Kitchen and Breakfast Room: Downstairs in the kitchen/diner and family room, burnt orange velvet dining chairs are set off against a deep teal velvet corner sofa. The quilted wall panel behind the sofa is a sumptuous alternative to wallpaper that signifies the multifunctional use of this breakout area for relaxing or working; it softens the look, adding warmth and texture while helping to zone the room. Aspirational items like the functional, solid walnut laptop stand, wooden place settings and candle stand and premium appliances aim to pique the interest of affluent audience and reinforce the idea that this space is ideally suited to the working family lifestyle.

Little Stanneylands (David Wilson Homes)Lounge: Key features of the lounge include the custom-created copper coffee table, statement mirror and bespoke artwork – framed and mounted to a very high standard. A large corner sofa with chaise (again bespoke made) utilises the floor space in the room for some welcoming comfort and opulence; it’s accessorised with metallic cushions that reflect the room’s colour palette and carry the theme from the rest of the house.

Little Stanneylands (David Wilson Homes)Master Bedroom: The luxury continues upstairs where an oversized wall-to-wall headboard was the building block around the master bedroom was crafted.  The staggered design ensures clean lines with a contemporary twist and utilises the horizontal wall space running under the small side window.

Little Stanneylands (David Wilson Homes)Guest Room: In the guest room, another statement headboard in a stunning burnt orange fabric is the feature piece within the room, this time exploiting the vertical space from floor to ceiling.

Little Stanneylands (David Wilson Homes)First Child’s Room: Establishing a link to close by rural villages and the parks and woodlands families could explore, The Bradgate’s children’s rooms have a nature theme. Designed for young twin aged 4-5, the magical forest complete with fairies and enchanted toadstools is unique and unforgettable. Canopies over the head of the beds are a fun, yet luxurious, touch.

Little Stanneylands (David Wilson Homes)Second Child's Room: The second children’s room is a place to go wild with creativity with real mini beasts displayed in jars and a bespoke light fitting made from salvaged branches. Texture is layered up in the soft furnishings for added interest. Graphite grey trunk furniture offers good storage options – very important for children’s rooms.
