***What is the scheme?*** Wyre Council`s low-cost housing scheme is intended to provide families, individuals, and first-time buyers with better access to housing. A) has been continuously resident within the Borough for at least the previous 12 months; or
B) has a strong local connection within the Borough which for the purposes of this definition shall mean:
• Has a long standing connection to the Borough and is in need of family support from relatives living within the Borough or has relatives living within the Borough who reasonably require support; or
• Is permanently employed in the Borough and reasonably requires to be housed there in order to maintain that employment or has accepted an offer of permanent employment in the Borough and reasonably requires to be housed there in order to take up that employment; and
• Is approved in writing by the Council (such approval not to be unreasonably witheld or delayed) and will in any event be provided within 10 working days of receipt of an application to it.
