No Hesitation In Reserving The Ideal Home

Posted 16 February 2022 by Keith Osborne

Katie and Tim found the perfect family home at Lace Fields and secured it with a speedy reservation...

Teachers Katie and Tim Howse say William Davis Homes deserve top marks after they found their ideal home on the award-winning firm’s Lace Fields development in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire.

The couple were so impressed that they reserved their four-bedroom ‘Severn’ within 24 hours of viewing the show home. Along with their two young daughters, the couple are now settling in well after moving in last November.

Katie and Tim had lived in Ruddington for seven years but needed more space, including a larger garden. They wanted to stay in the village, especially as nine-year-old Edie and four-year-old Betty were settled in local schools.

Said Katie: “We considered several developers, but William Davis Homes were by far the best in terms of customer service. Their personal approach really made all the difference.”

The Loughborough-based company has won the industry’s five-star award for six consecutive years, under the Home Builders Federation scheme for customer satisfaction. It has also achieved prestigious industry success at the WhatHouse? Awards.

The Howse family at home at Lace Fields“We spoke to the sales consultant Sally-Ann who was absolutely amazing and kept us informed every step of the way,” added Katie. “The whole buying process was very smooth and we know Sally-Ann and her colleague Karen are still available if we need any help.”

The family are enjoying the extra space that the ‘Severn’ gives them, including an open-plan kitchen and dining area. As well as having a spare bedroom, they now have a separate office space downstairs for when the couple need to work after school.

“We also wanted a separate living room that’s not doubling-up as a corridor,” added Tim. “With a lot of modern houses, you have to walk through the lounge to get to the kitchen. But here there’s a separate lounge, which is important when you want to just switch-off and relax.”

The couple say Lace Fields is in an ideal location – for both work and leisure. The family enjoy visits to nearby Rushcliffe Country Park but are also a short journey away from the city centre.

“Ruddington is a lovely village,” said Katie. “We’ve made many friends here and there’s a real sense of community. The village has a regular market and some lovely cafes.”

Prices at Lace Fields start at £350,000. Find out more from William Davis Homes.
