Singer Finds Harmony In New Worcestershire Home
A singer who has released an album of songs written by TV chef Gino D’Acampo says his new William Davis home is perfect for serving-up melodic music.
Scott Wilkes is settling in well at his two-bedroom property in Droitwich, Worcestershire, and has already converted the spare bedroom into a music room.
The 27-year-old likes the William Davis development so much that he has adapted one of the songs on the album to sing the praises of Copcut Rise.
“I really love it here,” said Scott. “So it seemed natural to include a reference to Copcut Rise in the song ‘I Love You To The Moon And Back’ which is the first hit off the album.”
Scott has recorded a video of the adapted version, strumming the guitar in his kitchen. He learned to play the guitar at primary school and was gigging around the country by the age of 16. When he originally received an email from Gino’s team, he thought it was about arranging for him to sing in one of Gino’s restaurants.
“I couldn’t believe it when I went to meet Gino and he wanted me to record these wonderful songs he’d written. He had seen a YouTube video of me singing and decided that I had the voice and tone he was looking for. He loved the way I pronounced the words.”
Scott has four brothers and decided to move from the family home in Halesowen, West Midlands, to be near his younger brother Shane, who also lives in Droitwich.
“This house has been the perfect choice,” he said. “I like William Davis’ attention to detail. I reserved the plot on the same day it became available. It’s great that things like carpets, curtains and a turfed garden are included.”
When it comes to customer satisfaction, Scott says the five-star rated company hits all the right notes. “Everyone has been really helpful, from the sales team to the site manager. They’ve made everything very easy.”
